Hometown Inns North Hills, North Hills

So, the pros of this hotel is it is newly remodeled. Our room was very clean, very nice and very comfortable. Everyday they had maid service come by to change our linens and empty the trashes. Basically me and Mom are staying here for a week. We have one more day left and let me tell YOU!! The staff is very nice and friendly and the price was only about $40 a night...$330 for an entire week. The rooms are nice and the bathroom is beautiful. BUT it's NOT in the best of neighborhoods. I say that more so because the way the neighborhood looks. The parking is..Odd to say the least as the building is round and..well..google map it, you'll see. Although the parking inside the gates is video monitored which makes me feel safe and the people in the neighborhood are generally nice. BUT,again there is drama every day in the hotel. Lovers fighting over silly stuff at 3am in the morning. They fight in the hall and it wakes you up. I found it amusing but for adults with children it can be very scary. We've had a fight from different guests every night sense staying here. The staff are mostly oriental but they speak good english but the people who stay here are crazy! First night we stayed a lesbian couple got into it because one of them left without telling the other and such. I know the whole story cause the argument took place in the halls, /the next night a women was yelling at her man over the phone cause he spent money from her account (she stayed right next door to us) and the next day (early morning) the man came to the hotel to yell at her about not letting him be a man and spend money and such and such. THen, the day after the two lesbians got into a fight again...this time the other one was yelling that she was...thirsty. Yeah. I know. The next day some weird guy was walking down the hall spewing all types of profanities. Anyway, you get the picture. Maybe not the best place to stay for a peaceful nights sleep but it WAS comfortable and it WAS clean and the staff WERE very kind and accommodating. I would probably stay here, again but when I have kids I'll most likely stay away.

This hotel was in a bad area, prostitutes roamed the streets. The room smelled funny and construction was going on next door. At least the staff were friendly and helpful. Not bad price wise if you dont mind the area.

For $40 this was a bargain! The room and surroundings were clean, and all the basics were there. Also, the bed was comfortable. Not soft, which causes back ache, but not overly hard. Everything worked. No one made any noise during my visit.

This place did not look like the internet it was in a bad area and they rent out the rooms to the locals. People were up really late and you could hear them. I did not feel safe there, thank god my husband was with me. The rooms smell inside and the hallways were dirty. Stay Away.....

i stayed there for a long peirod of time.. a few years actually..and as the time went by staying there the more they kept inproving it. i miss it there so much.. they are really cleaning up the place now.. its starting to look better and better.. the management is great. i would stay there anytime i needed an affordable hotel, and i would reccomend it to anyone looking for a hotel in the north hills area.

This place looks good on the internet. We travel for business and just needed a comfortable place to sleep. This place was really bad. The halls smell. The carpet is ragged. The beds are old and hard. The neighborhood is bad. Signs such as 'no prostitution' tell you something. It was too late to go off searching for another place but not again.
