Our New Favorite Place in Waynesville
By Claira, 11/04/09
I-40 rock slide re-routed us through waynesville. We stayed at The Lodge it was great. The room was clean and roomy and the kids could run and romp in the big yard. This place is great and we will be back for a week long vacation in 20010.

Only a 2.5 hour stay!
By , 10/30/09
Checked in 8 PM and departed at 10:30 PM. Room smelled horrible... sheets looked dirty... bugs dead in bathroom... wife and I had the "heebee geebees" and could not even think about taking off our clothes to sleep... so got up, turned the key in to the night clerk and drove 3 hours home... lost $80+ dollars and a nights sleep, but it was a nightmare of a place!‎

sleep in your car if you have to!!
By Mike, 06/07/09
Wow...what a dump!! I found a condom wrapper in the bed...the carpet was discusting...there were no blankets on the beds..the chairs were stained. Best thing is they gave me a big discount after I complained. Place needs lots of work to get to motel 6 quality!! Sleep in your car before you stay here folks!

American owned
By Tammy, 04/13/09
I love this little place. It is American owned and operated wich is very hard to find these days. Our room was clean and the grounds were well kept. The staff is what makes the difference. Everyone was helpful and very welcoming. The view from the patio (with rocking chairs) was breath taking. We hope to go again next year.

Nice Place for Motorcycles too!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/08
Motorcycles riders! Looking for a place to sleep while running all the mountains routes. This is just fine to come back to, get a good shower and head out again. I have used this place for 5 years. Always been good to us.

Pet Friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/07
This is truly a pet friendly hotel. They charge a minimal fee per night. One place claiming to be pet friendly wanted to charge me $50 per night, not that different from that for the room. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. The location is great and the grounds are nice.

Desperate Bride
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/17/07
I was running out of time and need to find some accomadations for my out-of-town guest and I came across The Lodge. Front desk lady (Tammy) was so nice and helpful. Their price could not be beat for that time of year! I am referring all of my guest to stay there. I like to porches outside of each room that gives you a beautiful view of the mountains and pool area.
