Decent and clean hotel!

I liked the location. Super close to the beach. Manager was super nice! Let us check in a bit earlier than 2pm. Close to the train tracks, but managed to sleep all night. Great hotel for the price!

it is the best hotel

This small hotel is very well situated.It has been newly remodel and everything is very clean and neat.It is only five minutes walking to the beach and have restaurants within walking distance too.It also provides a continental breakfast in the morning.The price is very reasonable according to the location.The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful.Whenever i will be in town i will always go there.I think whoever wrote this negative comments about these peolpe have a big problem himself.

GOOD EXPERIENCE

I cannot understand the negative reviews. I was a guest for one week and found the manager, a pleasant woman, to be accomodating and informative. She went out of her way to make my visiting family comfortable. My room was clean, the continental breakfast more than adequate and the central location convenient. The ocean was a safe several blocks walk. I highly recommend the Encinitas Econolodge as a good value for the money spent and plan to again visit.

I too was disappointed!

The only thing I liked was the pool. But the so-called nite manager was very stuck up and rude. She had no class, and a very foul mouth. I guess her boyfriend came and they were all over eachother behind the desk. Your @ a hotel, get a room!!! The hotel was ok but I also saw bugs, and kept my bags in my car. I guess maybe you get what you pay for. But I'm worth more than what I got @ this place, so I didn't even stay the two days I was planning on. I went to Holiday in. It was excellent! My suggestion would be to get rid of the night manager.

price gouging

Quote one price and 30 minutes later raised it $40.00 more. As the east indians would say "only in America!" I say get out of America!!

A Perfect Stay

Very pleasant friendly staff, rooms are quiet, clean, and pretty big. A 5 minute walk to the beach. A 12 minute walk to funky downtown Encinitas & the La Paloma Theater. You can get excellent fish tacos around the corner from the Lodge. I stay there every September and am never disappointed. If you want a low-key restful So.Calif. beachtown experience, this place is for you.
