Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort, Wisconsin Dells

The family has stayed at this resort 5 or 6 times. It is always clean and the employees are all always courteous and nice. There is quite a big layout so it does take a while to get from your room to the water parks sometimes, but they are all worth it. The kids have a blast with al the different themes and I love the Hurricane and wave pool. Can't wait for Spring Break, we are going back again....

My family always goes in the winter. It was very clean. It is the best indoor waterpark hotel around that i have been to. The water parks can get a little unexciting after a while because there isnt much in each of the water parks. The check-in was very short. But we did have to drive to the other side of the hotel just to get to our room.he service was ok.They ended up talking us in to try a time-share thing, and that was a BIG mistake. They said it would just take an hour. It ended up taking the whole morning and we wanted to go to the water parks. Besides that everything was great! We did have a long drive but it is worth it! I will definately go back again!

My boys, who are 9 and 11, say that the Wilderness is their favorite vacation destination. They love the thrill rides in the indoor waterparks and the massive indoor wave pool but they are also just as content being dry and playing in the huge dry foam play fort with ball blasters that shoot continuously. My wife and I love Field's at the Wilderness which serves the best steaks in Wisconsin with fantastic service. And Pistol Pete's serves up some great ice cream as well. Wilderness also renovated their guest rooms since the last time we were there, they now have flat screen tvs, new comfy beds and sheets. Everything was also really clean. We're already planning out next visit back to the Wilderness and the kids are counting down the days.

I went here this past weekend and stayed in the glacier canyon part of the resort with a few family members. To my shock and dismay that Saturday morning while laying in the bed I saw a bed bug crawling towards me. Upon pulling back the sheets we found another small one!! Now MY ARMS ARE TERRIBLY BITTEN and the worst part of all is they wouldn't refund all of our money!!! Terrible experience, never staying there again!!!

We had originally booked a 2 night stay for my family. We ended up staying the first night and it was great. However the next day turned into the day from hell. We were down about 5 rooms from a swarm of drunken college kids. No big deal, it is spring break, however when they began screaming and swearing at guests in the parking lot I decided to complain. The hotel staff came by and ended up flirting with the college kids, and left. 3 hours later I am sitting on the balcony, and the idiots are dropping ice cubes from the balcony and someone below is swinging a snow shovel at them. I get hit in the eye by a shard and complain yet again. I am told they will be removed IMMEDIATELY. 2 hours later we pass them in the hall, so I go to the front desk where the same "INEXPERIENCED" "Resort Manager" comes to me and tells me to drop my attitude, and that these kids were given a warning?????!!!?? I lost it and we ended up leaving as my 2 year old daughter or my 2 other sons could have been hit. When we asked them what would have happened if one of them had gotten hit, and we were told that they would have been warmed. Moral of the story here is, if you care about your family's safety DO NOT COME TO THIS HELLHOLE.

Arrived at the resort around 1PM and was told room wasn't ready. Not a big deal, website said rooms not ready till 4PM. Was able to swim till room was ready, informed by text. Stayed in a villa. VERY roomy! Balcony and patio screen doors came off tracks, but from the sound coming from other villas, it was the "norm". First night went off without a hitch. Second night, was awoken by husband (at 12AM) informing me we had a problem downstairs. Went down to see and found about 2 inches of water in the kitchen. Though toilet overflowed, but it turned out it was coming from floor drain in the utility room!! Obvious toilet water (with bonus toilet paper and stink)! Called front desk to inform them of the problem, had maintenance there in about 10 minutes. Quick survey of the problem and we were moved to another villa. Maintenance guy went to the front desk to get our new villa keys, very nice! Upon reaching the new villa, room keys didn't work. After 3rd set of keys, security was sent over to let my family in. Maintenance showed up around 7:30-8:00AM to fix the door. Took a long time, couldn't figure out the problem. We left for breakfast and came back to a fixed door!! Rest of visit was uneventful. Had a great time at all the water parks!! Lifeguards were very nice! Place was pretty clean, saw cleaning crew people everywhere! WILL visit again!!!

Check in was short BUT room was not ready. Got key at 4:00pm asked clerk where room was on map and she got mad and said I should know. In the big game room near the water dome my 3 yr old boy only had 39 tickets for a 40 ticket car and they would not give him the car - SAD I offered to give them a quarter but no luck. No coffee in room only empty packages. Asked for late check-out on a Tuesday morning and it was denied. Knob on heat/air in room just when in circles. Could not sleep it was way too cold in room.

Very clean.. Had a flat screen in the bathroom by the spa tub..
