Awful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/8/11
We arrived at the hotel after dark so when we walked into the lobby it was a bit dim. Check in went well, but when we got to the room and opened the door there was a very STRONG MILDEW smell. Our first thought was, how do they expect anyone to stay in this room and with this smell. It was awful. We immediately went to the front desk and asked for another room and told them why. Their response was we'll discount the room for you; not we're sorry, we didn't realize it smelled like that, nothing. We were told that they were full and did not have another room. So at 10:00 at night we're trying to find another hotel. They did allow us to us the guest computer to find one, which was nice of them. But while using the computer I noticed that the carpet in that area (in the lobby, just off from the front desk) had SEVERAL large stains, it looked horrible. Needless to say, we were glad we were not staying there and will not stay ever stay there.

Awesome...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/18/11
This was my family's first vacation & we couldn't have picked a better place. The staff was so helpful & friendly. I couldn't book online (looking for a specific handicap accessible rm). When I called, I spoke with Justin, what a very nice guy & very helpful. The whole staff was extremely helpful with everything including getting around the area. Great location.. Everything's close.. The breakfast was so good... My 5 yr old son & I loved the pancake maker :)... Very clean place to stay... I could go on & on about how wonderful this place is... We will DEFINITELY be back. Thanks again for making our first vacation the best.

This is the place to stay!!
By Blett, 4/18/10
Our church group of 39 people traveled from Pittsburgh, PA to Lancaster to see the Play "Joseph" at the Sight and Sound Theatre. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and it was right across the street from the Rockvale Mall. How convenient! The rooms were very clean and comfortable as well as the Hotel Lobby. The expanded continental breakfast was superb. Imagine 39 people staying in one hotel and not one complaint but many complements. Now that is a miracle within itself. Betty R. I would give this hotel a 5 star rating and would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling in that area.

Perfect stay!
By TDBuddah, 7/7/09
Traveled 14 hours with a family of 5. The manager at the front desk took the time to check and see if they had a room ready even though we arrived 6 hours before check in. A room was ready and he let us check in early with no problems. The room was very clean and all of the staff we talked to were pleasant and helpful. The pool was clean and the kids had fun. The walls are a little thin, but with the A/C fan on, sounds were drowned out. All of the appliances worked fine and extra towels were no problem. This hotel was well worth the money. We did not take advantage of the breakfast bar, but it looked like it was clean and had many options. I highly recommend this hotel to families traveling to the area.

Very Nice Place to Stay
By dlbrgj, 6/23/09
This is our second time staying at this hotel. We love the service and cleaniness of the hotel. It is 2 minutes to Dutch Wonderland which was great when traveling with 2 children. The only thing is that you sometimes smell the farms if the breeze is flowing that waywhich can be a bit smelly.Otherwise I love the outlets right outside the hotel to shop. The hotel is worth the stay.

Great Location, Fair Price, John's a Gem
By TravelingMom, 10/21/08
Loved the location - outlets nearby, Strasberg and Bird n Hand very near, plus restaurants and other sites close by. General manager, John, helped us choose a terrific kid-friendly itinerary for our 2 day stay. Breakfast was plentiful and everything was kept clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. Next day there was some odd odor in the hallway but did not permeate the room.

Not worth the Money!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/6/07
This hotel cost me 400 dollars for 3 nights. The a/c hardley ran, toilet didn't flush properly, and the lobby bathroom was filthy!!! Was offered a different room, and was given a occupied room!!! After clearing up that issue, we were given a small desk fan to "keep cool". The hotel needs more than one computer to access information. The lobby for breakfast was entirely too small. Staff not very sympathetic to its customers needs. Think twice before booking this hotel!!!

Great Place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/5/07
I will not say this In is outstanding. But it fullfills all you expect with a Holiday Express. Staffs are friendly and a little bit Cold. Breakfast is not bad, I like Hampton's more. BUT it's location is great. It is on the mid-wayr of Bird in Hand and Straburg. In a outlet and near Dutch Wonderland. Graat location for a family vacation if you don't want to stay in resort all day.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were also very knowledgable about the local attractions and even helped to provide coupons and maps for the local attractions.

will never stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/12/05
Booked our rooms thru 1800padutch. Was told the hotel was to become a Holiday Inn Express. They said most of the work was completed. Not true. Booked 2 rooms king beds. Got in that evening and was told they didn't have king rooms available, rooms with 2 double beds were more expensive then kings and that aarp discounts were only 10% not 15% like padutch had said. Talked to manager next morning and was told they did have king available that night and they would talk to their staff. I think that the staff was family. Breakfast next day was a joke. We had stayed at a Hampton Inn the day before and the day after our stay at rockville inn. Just a really big disappointment. They just don't care.
