Every detail covered, and filet mingon for breakfast!

I stayed at the Woodstock Inn (Riverside house) this weekend and it was amazing. Every detail was covered. The room had antique furniture, a canopy bed, a view of the river, a spotless bathroom, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, and a breakfast to die for.
I heard "breakfast included" and thought "cereal and toast". Little did I know, "breakfast included" means "order anything you want for free from the gourmet restaurant's breakfast menu". I had eggs benedict with FILET MINGON for breakfast that first morning.
The location is also adorable. It is right off the Kancamangus highway, which has the prettiest views of the mountains and the best hiking trails. North Woodstock is a tiny little town, straight out of an Americana painting, complete with a cute coffee shop and other little shops to check out once you come back from your mountain explorations.
The room wasn't gigantic, but it covered all the bases and the queen sized bed, 2 chairs, tv, and 2 dressers was more than enough for a couple. I cannot speak for the rooms with 2 beds. The ambiance was great, with a player piano in the lobby and old pictures on the wall. This DID NOT feel like a hotel - it felt like you were staying at a comfy old victorian house.
I am more than pleased and I found the price to be right, especially considering the fantastic breakfast !
