The management of Bridge Bay is horrible!
By ,
We have rented four houseboats from Bridge Bay each year for the past three years. They have consistently been the worst at customer service, but this year was the last straw. They told me that my boat was clean and checked out (while I stood there and watched), then charged me $130 later saying the boat was dirty! They consistently let ski boats gas up in houseboat docking slots while two of our boats circled around in the water near the gas dock waiting to come in to check out. They sent two of my co-workers up to the office to check out, then asked them where the paperwork for their houseboats was. NO ONE GAVE IT TO THEM! They had to wait until someone finally figured out what was going on at the gas dock office to let them pay the bill. It was a horrible overall experience working with them. I will be taking my $10000 in business elsewhere next year.

We really can't wait to go back!!!!
By ,
This is the most relaxing vacation my husband and I went on. their team of workers was great and very friendly and of course very helpfull since this was our first time there. If you are a fun loving, outdoorzy person then you would love this place, also there is a lot of fish there... just give it a try.... we are planing to go back with my whole family in about 3 weeks :)

A fine place to stop for a meal!
By ,
We were just driving by and stopped at the Bridge Bay Resort for dinner. The restaurant was located overlooking the lake and marina, a fabulous view. The food was good and reasonably priced. The resort is well maintained and includes a grocery store. There is boat parking in a large dirt lot next to the motel, or better yet you can rent a slip space in the marina and leave your boat in the water for $25 per day during your visit. You then park your empty rig up on the lot. We plan on going back this summer to stay for a week and really enjoy the area and the enormous lake.

Houseboating compared to Hotels
By ,
Taking out a houseboat seemed like a large expense with gas prices what they are but, when we weighed the price of a hotel for nine people, eating out, everyone driving around to get there and then sight see, as well as tourist entrance fees to attractions we realized it was great to be able to cook and eat exactly what we wanted. We ate, swam, and slept on our own schedule and our kids did the same. We just came home from what they call off season pricing which made it an even greater deal. We will be going back next fall.

Fantastic resort
By ,
If you plan to visit Lake Shasta, I highly recommend Bridge Bay resort. Its located nestled on a cliff overlooking Lake Shasta. The rooms are quite comfortable (especially the kithenettes) and the staff are very friendly. You can rent slips on the water if you plan to go boating, so you don't have to hassle with taking your boat out of the water each day.
