Newport City Center Motel, Newport

We stayed here for 3 days and had a positive experience.The rooms were clean. The owners were friendly and accommodating. They welcomed our dog and charged a one time fee which is very reasonable. They are dog owners also and they have a cute little beagle that visited with us a couple times. Air conditioner was present and worked. Nice yard with big tree you can sit under. Home-y landscaping. A few restaurants, A shopping center,A movie theater and a park are within walking distance. As budget motels go this one is nice. The one way street is a bit inconvenient but the room rates are well worth the minor inconvenience. A microwave in the room would be nice.

Clean, Affordable, and Quiet.... the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was simple and well kept. The area was nice and quiet, continental breakfast. Can't beat the price I'd stay there again...

Filthy, Little House keeping. Carpet 1970s and had not been cleaned in a decade. Housekeeping amounted to towels and pull up bed covers. Floors were not cleaned, Dirty towels left in bathroom. Cold water in shower didnt work, Bathroom and overall condition of room filthy and run down. Had two TVs one didnt work and was left in place and another just stacked in front of it. O by the way they were 13 inch. No ice machine you have to go to office and get a CUP of ice from owner. At $25.00 a night this would be overpriced but I paid $159.00 on a holiday. BIG MISTAKE DONT STAY IN THIS CESSPOOL!!!!!!

We called to see if they had weekly rates. Neither one of us could comprehend the person who answered the phone & we ended up having to hang up because it was so poor. Very worried our reservations would of been very messed up due to the lack of communication. After reading some of the older reviews and seeing the pictures I am glad we hung up.

We went to visit relatives and paid for 2 nights. We ended up leaving after 1 night, and were refused a refund on our room for the second night. The rooms were filled with flies, no a/c, and had a stench of urine.The floors were dirty, and much of the tile in the bathroom was hanging off the walls.It was an overall "cheap" motel. I guess good if you like that kind of thing. We will definitely not be going back or reccomending it to ANYONE.

It is an older, but clean motel, convient location. Needs A/C. For the price you can't beat it. If you need a place to stay for just alittle cash, this is a good deal.
