Ogle Haus Inn, Vevay

My boyfriend and i really love this hotel, we have been here 2 times and enjoyed it both times, but the last time we went, which was in August 2011, there were a whole bunch of people staying on the bottom floor where the pool is. They were very loud and annoying! We didn't like that at all! I saw on another review on a different site that these people were employee's of the Belterra Casino. You really need to consider moving them to a different location in the hotel, like no where near the pool area. You can't even go to the pool and relax because they are outside yelling and screaming and carrying on like wild animals! Please consider moving them to the side without the pool, preferably the side facing the road, this way people can actually enjoy the pool!

The Ogle Haus Inn is right on the Ohio River. We stayed on the first floor. Walked out large sliding glass doors right to the river bank. There is outdoor pool, clean, a gas grill, beautiful views, and 1 hour from Cincinnati, to the East, and 1 Hour to Louisville to the west...PLUS the rooms, oh the rooms...CLEAN, STAFF is gracious, and ready to help, even when they are on break. I could not ask for more. River watching from the deck at night is like being in heaven....WE WILL BE BACK!!!!! Check out the little italian restaurant in Vevay. Pizza and breadsticks were great, quaint, LOVE IT...

Location was good for working at Belterra Casino. Not much to do in that are but the service was good and the breakfast was alsoup to par. Thanks for the great hospitality from the front desk!

There was absolutely NOTHING to dislike. It was spotless, we loved sitting on the lower balcony, and enjoying the views. Food in the morning was excellent, better then the others in the area. We felt like we were in heaven. We will be absolutely positively be going back, just need the time off to do so. Milwaukee WI.

We enjoyed this place very much..stayed only one night but it was great! Will be going back one of these days. We both loved the room and the fact that it sits on the Ohio river. . VERY NICE!!!!

I have been visiting the Ogle Haus since the year it opened. There have been times when I spent weeks there. The large rooms, quaint town, and good food, don't compare to atmosphere created by the Ohio River directly off the porch. I enjoyed watching the river roll by while reading a good book on pleasant summer days. Occasionally a paddle wheeled boat quietly made its way up the river. Over the years I have stayed at some of the best hotels in this nations largest cities. Rooms at the Ogle Haus rival the best in NY, Chicago, or LA. They are also on par with 5-star resorts and have been better than some! If you want to stay at a bustling resort then the Ogle Haus is not for you. If you are interested in a top notch room in a quiet town where relaxation is required, put the Ogle Haus on your map. The Ogle Haus has been on my map for many, many years.

Our family and friends gathered for a wedding vow renewal ceremony. All of the staff were very help, the hotel was spotless! Could not have asked for a better time. The rooms are VERY nice and the pool is very kid friendly. We will be back, maybe more than once each year. The rooms have great views of the Ohio River. Nice job staff!

Newly renovated and nicely decorated rooms. Very comfortable king size bed. Great alternate place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Belterra.
