We live close by and decided to get a few rooms from this place for our families on our wedding day. I went and paid for two rooms in advance not knowing that the "system" would go ahead and cancel the other rooms that we had blocked. So the lady called and tried to inform me that I really had NOT paid for the 2 rooms. Luckily I was by my computer and informed her that I was looking at my bank account and the money had been cleared. So after some time she informed me that to get the other rooms back I needed a credit card to hold ALL of them and the rates were now more because they just found out it was going to be Race Weekend. Needless to say we were not informed about rate changes or having to use a credit card to hold rooms. Well after being put on hold several times and being told that I would have to call back or they would call back was enough. I called the Holiday Inn down the road where I should had called in the first place, told the story to the gentleman on the other end of the phone and he was dumbfounded. He assured me that my guests would not have a problem with paying for the rooms up front and the rates he quoted me would not change, even with is being race weekend. So after some time, I checked my bank account again and have found that the Best Western had charged me 3 times for 2 rooms, then credited back 1 payment. After I cancelled the 2 rooms I see that instead of giving me a credit back into my account and have went ahead and took out yet another payment. These people need to be thouroughly checked into before anybody gets a room from this god forsaken place. I hope they can do math because they just lost several nights with several rooms and that is a ton of money in todays economy.

a nice experience to remember

i recently stay in best western of gastonia,it was a wonderful experience the cleaningness of the room was impressive,front desk staff was very polite and helpful the breakfast had so much items i was pleasantly surprise to see that,i would definitely recommend this hotel to my best friends.
