Scottish Inn, Daytona Beach

found an ad in one of those road ads you find in reststops for hotel cupons . Well I guess its true you get what you pay for . The room was the worse I ever stayed in . It was dirty and in need of many repairs . Even the door to the room was not secure . I still have deep feeling of guilt for forcing my family to stay there for two days just to save a few bucks on a nicer motel . My wife said it cured me being cheap !! And the kids still laugh about it .This was about 10 years ago . I hope they have improved but I wouldn't ever stay there again . Nor would I advise anybody else unless you really need a room and dont have the money for a decent one

My father and his wife were evacuated during hurricane Wilma and went to Daytona Beach and found your hotel as a "safe haven". While in the middle of this hurricane, seeking refuge, they were told they had to "leave and check out at 10 a.m." IN THE MIDDLE OF A HURRICANE! They wanted to stay but were told they had to pay an additional monies of $62 to stay for an additional 3-4 hours until the hurricane passed! They were denied help and sent out into a serious situation. They were unable to locate a safe place and ended up staying on Rt 95 in a rest of the highway. HOW OBSURD! Not only did your hotel put their lives at stake but also showed no humanity in helping an elderly couple in need! I'm discusted with your hotel and will let anyone I know not to stay there and will tell them the treatment they received!

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay at the Scottish Inn, however, I always enjoy my stay. I never met "SUZIE". I will continue staying there each trip, Because I do enjoy a clean room, hot shower and the omlette house next door. As for the price ,I know that the various events held in Daytona do effect the varied prices. I always book 6 months prior to the race in July, just so I can get my same room. As far as the service, our room was cleaned daily, fresh towels, beds made, and the floor vaccumed. To me it was a friendly atmosphere.
