Baymont Inn & Suites, Columbus

I stayed the nights of 10/15 & 10/16. The first problem I had was that the electronic lock was not reading the key card. I went back down to the front desk to get another key, the girl was nice enough to reprogram my key and walk me back up to my room to try the key again. The key did work the first time, but every time after that was a headache and a battle to get the door open. The second problem was that the outside fire alarm, just outside my door, kept going off, it was a loud metal bell. The first night it went off around 9 p.m., it went off for very sporadic and random lengths of time, it went continued on and off for about an hour. The second night it went off again starting at 6 a.m., it continued the same random on and off again pattern for an hour and half. The breakfast downstairs consisted mainly of coffee, apples, toast and cold cereal. Lastly, the bed I slept on was hard, like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. I would not go back to this hotel again.

We were to have a non-smoking room, our room had been smoked in, they sprayed it but it didn't help. Got ready to take our shower, NO BATH TOWELS. We had to go to the front office and get a new key card 4 times, would not work. We were told that the McDonalds would open at 5:00 this was not true. Had used this motel several times in the past, will never use it again!!

The room was very clean and the staff was very nice. On the other hand, it was quite noisy. The walls seem to be paper thin and I was bothered by the some noise from adjoining rooms. Moreover, the noise from people outside on the sidewalk and the roar of planes overhead until quite late at night was really tedious. I have stayed at other more costly hotels there on the airport grounds several times and they had better soundproofing so that I do not recall hearing planes overhead at all. Overall though, for the money, I think it deserves a good rating. I only stayed there because every other hotel on the airport property was 100% booked. As long as I have the money I will pay extra to stay elsewhere - but if you have to economize you will not go wrong staying here.

The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The mattress really needed to be replaced 500 check-in's ago. The staff was aloof and not overly helpful. As it was our first time in OH a friendly face and helpful attitude would have been appreciated. We were double billed and are now working to correct this issue. To the company's defense, the rooms were average for the price and they were clean. Donna Connecticut

We stayed one night after arriving on a late flight. It was ok. There wasn`t really any service, but we didn`t expect any. It was a cheap and decent place to stay for a night. However, with a small child I seriously regretted it as the room was filthy. I was scared by the carpet and trash lying around the room. There was supposedly internet access but it didn`t work and noone working there had any clue. It may be okay for a one night stay before or after a flight, but I think I`ll be staying elsewhere on my next trip to Columbus.

It is an average motel. It was close to airport and close to restaurants. I liked being able to leave our car there when we went on a trip. It was clean and the staff were helpful.

Always full. Good service. A little out of date (needs some remodelling) but very nice rooms. Very easy access to downtown restaurants, clubs, college campus and activities.

Sometimes the stressors of home get to me, that's why I find a hotel to spend the weekend at. Don't have to make my bed here, I let the maid do it. They got some good free soaps too. Nice beds. Comfy, real comfy.

When we first arrived, we found that our hotel room was very small for a family of 5. We told the front desk and immediately they said they would be able to help us. We then went to our new room and to our surprise they upgraded our room. It was just wonderful. It was a connecting room. No extra charge. Even though we were there for only two nights we felt like we were in heaven. Thank you to the wonderful staff

My wife and stayed here before early flight out in the morning. The room was very clean. We left our car there for free the frist five days with a $5 dollar fee for each day after. Also have free shuttle to the airport. Will choose to stay here again next time.
