Excellent Value-PoorReservationSystem

The Inn was conveinient,reasonable,clean and everything you would want except for one thing.They have a major problem with reservations made through the internet.I made a reservation five months in advance,had a firm price and a confirmation number yet when I arrived they had no record of my reservation.Luckly they were not filled so obtained a room.The clerk mentioned this had also happened a few days earlier to another couple so my problem is not unusual. Also when I accepted my confirmation it indicated if I did not cancel in enough time I would have to pay for one night. This means I show up no reservation,however if I do not show up I have to pay for one night. This is wrong.Then they tried to charge me a higher rate than the rate I had on the internet and I objected. They said they would honor my rate. When I checked out they tried to charge me the higher rate again and after objecting they changed it to the rate I had on my confirmation.However when I received my credit card charge they charged me the higher rate. I have sent them e mails twice on this with no reply. My next step is I will call my credit card company and protest the charge. This is sad as this is a very good bargin hotel.
