Econo Lodge Oxmoor, Birmingham

in route to having major surgery we stay here because it was near hospital. we get in our room toilet was dirty, room itself was ok clean but when we plulled top blanet on bed back the bed had never been made (Ruffled sheets in middle of bed) as we are looking we find blood on sheets and blanket. we call front desk they say they can not run us fresh sheets, we got get fresh ones and where told sorry and would get discount on NEXT stay. we came back 3 weeks later got small discount and employee was instructed on what card to charge on two rooms. i get back from major surgery and out of hospital to look at my bank account my house payment never went threw due to there mistake of charging wrong card. i cant speak after surgery due to langerical cancer i have someone call get ran around on phone. was told a manager would call back.but she has yet to do so. so now i am out service fees on my account. thank god my son gave me money for his room. but i live on social security disability at 700 a month. this should have never happend. butms perkins has not returned calls or service fees.not asking for cost of room.so please don't use these people. i would sleep in my car first. wow small discount cost me a fortune. and of course you can not just email someone on there site . I do not understand date thing. my date was april 2011 and it says i cant do it for future stays confusing

I really enjoyed my stay at the Comfort Inn Oxmoor. I arrived a little early and asked the lady at the desk if I was at the right location, she told me that I was. She was nice enough to let me check in since there was a room ready. The room was clean and comfortable, and the people were friendly. I will be staying again.

I read the other reviews about this hotel and decided to stay.I made my reservation over the phone and the clerk who took the reservation was great her name was Kim. The reviews about getting into the parking lot and the employees were correct. The parking lot was very diffcult to get into, the clerk that made my reservation was wonderful and even when I got there the person who checked me in, Laquitta was very nice, kind, and helpful with different restaurants. NOW for the BAD the room was hideous, it smelled bad, carpet was fithy, there was 2 dead roaches in the sink, Laquitta was very apologitic and changed the room that smelled better but carpet was dirty, this time roach is alive and crawling on the wall and another in the bathroom in the tub. This was my last straw i sat on the bed made some calls to get a room elsewhere and while doing this another roach crawled across my hand!!!!!!! After getting back home and reading these reviews again I looked at the year therwere from 2005!!!! P.S. this hotel is really old while there I asked someone locally and was told its 14 years old!!!!

The hotel is kept very neat and clean. It was very quiet at night. The bed and pillows are soft and comfortable. Also, the hotel is located near groceries, fast food places and affordable restaurants. The continental breakfast was okay, they could add a few more choices such as yogurt to the menu.
