The Herrington Inn And Spa, Geneva

My wife and I just finished our trip to the Herrington and couldn't be more happy. The staff was very accomodating and our room was right on the river, very relaxing. We made our trip complete with a visit to their spa which happened to be my favorite part about our trip. I have never had a massage before and have no idea why I didn't do it sooner. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

I have only been to the Spa at the Herrington and it was absolutley wonderful and relaxing. The staff was very professional. The therapist I had seemed to take a lot of pride in her work and I would definatly recommend this spa to friends and family.

This is the nicest hotel around by far. The staff was among the friendliest and professional that we had ever seen. From suggestions for local shopping and activities, to delivery of fresh chocolate chip cookies at our evening turndown service with little chugs of Oberweis milk - these people have thought of everything. We were looking to get away and thought about a long weekend in Lake Geneva, WI - when I found this place on the Internet, almost by mistake. The rooms were reasonable for Four Diamond accommodations, and the inside of the room was out of this world - an oversized jacuzzi tub, fireplace, and heated marble floor will keep us coming back to this fabulous place with a European feel. We loved the fresh baked goods on the breakfast buffet, and loved the view over the water. Congratulations to the staff of this wonderful in, we will be back again next time we can get a weekend away.

My husband and i just spent our one year anniversary at the Herrington and we plan on making it our anniversary spot. Everyone was very accomodating from the front desk, the spa, even the cleaning people were nice. I felt like a queen the entire weekend. The spa treatments were the best, the food is excellent (expensive but well worth it), and the atmosphere was tranquil. We highly recommend this place as a nice getaway for couples or even a weekend getaway for girlfriends.

During my most recent trip, I was surprised to learn that the room options vary widely at The Herrington. The last time, the rate I was given made me eligible for lodging with a canopy bed, when my previous three visits had afforded facilities more to my liking. I immediately arranged an upgrade. I love the rooms with totally marble baths, a view of the lake, plush and comfortable bed and bedding, such outstanding media facilities that I often ordered in rather than leaving the room for meals.(While Atwater's is pricey, I appreciate the ambience there--for at least one of my meals. The breakfast buffet in the lobby is unsurpassed, anywhere. Even the walk through the hallways of the Herrington enroute to one's destination is an experience one wants to repeat again and again and again. The Herrington is one fabulous place.

My husband and I spent our first anniversary together there and will be back for our fifth. A great romantic getaway in the midst of a small community with excellent little shops. The service and rooms amenities are excellent.

Just got back and all I can say is WOW! I can't wait until I can go again. What an undiscovered treasure. Attentive staff. Breakfast was just right. SPA was awesome. Every room has a fireplace. The best part was receiving a bottle of milk and cookies around 8 pm. Make sure you spend more than 1 night to discover this old Geneva Creamery. The place was decorated for the holidays which added to charm of this inn on the river. What a place to spend for a quite night by yourself or with your special someone. HIGH marks for this one. Don't wait, make your reservation now and enjoy this charming inn.

A very charming intimate weekend getaway!! Rooms are very clean and cozy, warm cookings and tiny glass bottles of Oberwise milk. You can order your bath to be drawn, enjoy the spa, and walk in and sleep to a lite up fireplace. Go down the street to Isabellas for dinner and to the charming shops in Downtown Geneva. Want to get away without the airport hassle or long drive this is the place!!

I am not sure where all the people stayed with the negative comments, this place was amazing! The staff was amazingly polite and seemed to have a vast amount of experience in the hospitality field. I don't understand how some people say they almost go into fights with the staff, the staff was very well mannered and the only way I could see anyone fighting with them is if the guest themselves where yelling and causing a huge fuss, most likely is a fuss over nothing. This place was great, the food was great, the rooms were amazing. I would tell all my friends to come and stay here. And to all those who had such a "horrible" stay, thanks for hopefully not going back there and leaving an extra room open for people who can actually enjoy themselves on vacation!

I stayed at the Herrington last weekend and was recovering from a broken foot. I just wanted a quiet place to relax and recuperate. I thought that I had brought everything I needed with me, but when my foot began to throb, I called down to ask for an extra footstool. The staff could not find one and called to tell me. And then, a few minutes later, the bellman brought me 3 extra pillow to prop my foot on! The service was perfect from all areas. I had room service and again, was treated like a queen by the waitress. My bed was so comfortable that I did not want to leave! I will return as often as I can. My experience at this hotel was better than any of the Four Seasons hotels I have stayed in. Who cares about me? The Herrington does!
