Unique Honeymoon Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/06
Hello, We honeymooned at the Dragonfly Ranch in 1993 and found the owners to be helpful, nice, and overall, wonderful hosts.
Each room is different and unique. The honeymoon suite was at the top of the "hill" and consisted of two rooms, one of them outdoors. The king four-poster water-bed had mosquito netting and sat in the middle of the outdoor "room." There were jungle plantings to "create" the room space.
The bath and shower were also outdoors. The honeymoon suite also had an indoor room that contained a queen futon. The bathroom had one screen wall that looked up into the hill/jungle-type plantings. [I am not a "naked" person, but enjoyed the honeymoon suite anyway.]
There was also a deck with chairs as part of the honeymoon suite that overlooked the property and had an ocean (in the distance) view.
The other rooms were equally unique. We toured some of the other rooms when they were between guests and it was very difficult to choose which room to come back to. Each room and bathroom are different from each other.
There were a couple of rooms in the main "house" that are along the lines of a regular bedroom vs a unique experience.
The Dragonfly Ranch has been on our list of places to return to. We may or may not go back in a few years with our kids in tow.
