It's worth the piece of mind.
By Pedro, 7/27/09
We had 2 families stay here for 4 nights in the height of summer season. Cedar Point, Put-In-Bay, we did it all. Did much research before trip on Yahoo and TripAdvisor as to where to stay. The consensus was that this hotel was the closest to a sure thing, but you were going to pay more. The hotel was great - clean, good staff, we had no problems. It does cost more than most, but it was worth it to pay more and be able to enjoy the vacation and not worry about the hotel. I will say this - it seems that every hotel in the Sandusky area is over-priced for what you are getting (except for the indoor waterpark hotels - but those are even more.) The staff at the front desk of the Fairfield said they have people check-in the the Comfort Suites down the road, only to find out how dirty their rooms are, and then leave and come to the Fairfield. Like I said, it was clean, and full of families just like ours. I would stay there again, and if it was about $50 cheaper per night it would be ideal.

Believe this review, nothing better.
By John, 6/25/08
This hotel was amazing. We arrived at around 4pm. It was raining to start with; so the inside pool was such a pleasant site, along with a very large hot tube. We got to the room (we had a suite) two double beds, and a pull out couch. The living room area where the pull-out was, had a desk, a large T.V., then in the bedroom another T.V. Family of four and we just loved it. Close to many places to eat. Would have rather stayed there for the entire stay, and drove the 6 miles. We stayed at another hotel w/in the park, not naming names but the one back behind the camp ground. Over price small room for a view, trash on the floor.

Disgusting Disappointment
By Rob & KrisK, 6/7/08
If you are looking for a truly unique experience, this is the hotel for you. Complete with second-rate cable, mildew in the shower, and a strange green substance at the base of the toilet. Ever wonder about the last person to stay in the room? Don't worry, this hotel will leave the dirty tissues on the floor for you to discover. Looking for an apathetic front desk? Look no further, these people could care less. There are of plenty of other hotels in the Cedar Point area, and if they all are full, you are better off sleeping in your car than staying here.

Good for a short stay
Stayed one night while on cross country drive. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast had standard items, was well-stocked and staff was on hand to refill as things ran out. Exterior doors require room key for access to hotel for added security.

What you Expect
By Bobbi, 8/31/07
It was convenient, clean, and comfortable. The room was really big and fit our family of 5 very well. Price was good too. Only suggestion is to make more room for people to sit for breakfast. We had to take ours back to the room because the tables were full. Great cable channels for kids and families and internet access. Staff was courteous.

Great Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/07
I arrived at this hotel after driving through an ice and snow storm, hoping that it was not a really lousy hotel because the price was so low. Much to my surprise, it was actually a beautiful hotel, with extremely nice accomodations. I was greeted at the front desk by a lovely woman who went out of her way to comfort my daughter and I after our stressful ordeal and the service was impeccable. This place cannot be beat for the price!
