Friendliest staff i've ever seen.

We love the Drury. It has been our favorite for years. We plan all our trips around the Drury, and have stayed in many cities. This Airport location has an excellent customer service staff. That's what i will remember the most, however, i loved the covered parking. San Antonio was under threat of severe weather and we didn't have to worry about our vehicle being pounded by hail or any damaging weather. We visited Lackland Airforce Base, and there was easy access on and off 410. We also visited the mall. (what a great mall) We enjoyed the evening beverages and meal. (that night it was egg rolls, and fried rice. (couldn't believe how good it was) plus the usual nachos, salad bar, popcorn, etc. We did not get to eat breakfast due to having to check out early, but I can tell you from past experiences, the drury serves the best hot breakfast you'll ever find at a hotel. My favorite is the belgium (sp) waffle with peanut butter and syrup. Voted # 1 with us.

EVERYTHING

We love Drury Inns!!! This was our second experience with Drury Inn. Not only was the free hot breakfast great, but they also served a free dinner in the evening. This was great for us traveling with 5 kids. The hotel was clean and all the staff was friendly. They helped us get a reservation for my sister online because they were showing that they were booked. I felt really safe in the parking garage and all the passcode key entrances. We traveled with 4 other families and everyone said they would definately return to a Drury Inn.

Great Little Getaway!

The service was excellent. We rented a King Suite and I must say it was very comfortable. We were located right down the street from the Mall. Drury offers a great hot breakfast and they offer great evening snack (you will get full), so you do save on eating out. You will only have to eat lunch somewhere else. There's also a outside pool and a gym if you eat too much like we did and you want to burn some of those calories...We are planning a Fiesta Texas trip in July 2008 and we will bring the whole family down so we can really utilize the amenities...

Drive a little more to Drury on FM 1604

THis is for airport location only... Suite was most unstable. I have never had a suite were you entered into the bedroom from the front door. You had to walk thru the bedroom to get to the living room. The bathroom was in the bedroom which meant kids had to come into my room to go to the tiolet, which led to a cpl of embarrassing moments for mom and I.. The rooms were loud and bit chinchy for the price.. Breakfast was ok but alot of stuff cold or luke warm..Elevator was out the entire 3 days of our stay..Oh and the power assist tiolets are the LOUDEST known to mankind, horrible decision on that choice... Drury is much better than this location shows, needs good overhaul..Try the one on FM1604, much ,much better...

It is just okay

The previous reviews said there was a lot of snacks and food that you didn't even have to go out to eat. NOT TRUE. Not sure what they mean by snacks but popcorn and soda ain't it. Hotel was a bit dingy, carpets not cleaned. Room was okay but very small. Vanity not in the bathroom but beside the door. We had our choice to stay in another hotel w/jacuzzi at $84 a night for what the Drury was offering on food for 101. It wasn't worth it. We never did see any kind of snacks, didn't get breakfast and we were there at 10am. Very disappointed. Won't go back. Will stay at a nicer hotel, with a cheaper rate, complimentary breakfast and a jacuzzi. The food place beside it was terrible. Had to wait 45 minutes for a table.

great place to get away

The service there was really nice...friendly staff and really clean rooms. We enjoyed the full breakfast and the evening cocktails. We enjoyed it so much we are planning a trip this month and we already know where we are staying.

Best Hotel

this was by far the best hotel we've ever stayed in! great breakfast in the morning, 'snacks' in the evening, fresh popcorn and sodas all the time. we saved by eating breakfast at the hotel then again ate as much as we wanted during the evening 'snack' for supper. the ONLY drawback was fight traffic on interstate 410. if all drury's are as friendly and pleasant as this one we're definitely hooked!

great place to sray

We stumbled onto the Drury quite by accident & am so glad we did! It was late night & we hadn't made any reservations anywhere in town. The Drury had a suite available & needless to say, we took it! What a wonderful placae to stay - location, service, staff is great - can't say enough. That was 5 years ago & when we are in San Antonio we always stay at the Drury. Thanks for all you do to make our vacations so pleasant!!

Great Hotel For Families

For the price you can't beat this hotel. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was so shinny you needed sunglasses to enter. The free breakfast and evening snacks were a huge hit for us. Only one drawback, our hotel room was warm - hot. We went on the weekend of the 4th of July and the hotel was packed(Not to mention soaring temps in the 100's outside)! We aquated the warmth due to so many in the hotel at one time. Oh and the covered/secured parking deck was great! We felt very safe at this hotel and knew our vehicle would be safe as well. We would definately return to this hotel well worth every penny!!!
