Sun N Sand Lodge, Kings Beach

My boyfriend and I hadn't stayed here before until about a month ago. Jamie and Frank that manage there are just so attentive. We've stayed here four times in the last month and everytime they do whatever it takes to keep us happy. This isn't what i expected for such a low price but there's surprises everywhere. I have already referred freinds there and they loved it too. Everything is so clean and I can't wait to come back and stay in one of the rooms with a view this summer. a hidden treasure.

After reading several reviews, we were a little scared about staying here and even looked at changing but it was July 4th weekend and everything was booked. So glad we didnt change. If you are used to a 5 star hotel, this is not it. But if you are here to have a good time and be close to the beach, this is the place to be!! Fireworks show right outside your room. Everything was great!!! The manager was more than friendly and would do anything to help you get what you want! Steamers Pizza right across the parking lot was great and friendly as well! This will be our new vacation spot every 4th of July!!!

This was the worst stay I've ever experienced in my life! The attendant was creepy, deciding to let himself into my room after watching my husband leave! The whole place was filthy, and not just dirt filthy, but stains and smells, and sticky carpet kind of filthy. It's not just one room either. Things are not only dirty and moldy, but broken such as windows and the locks and coverings, so forget about feeling safe and comfortable. Relaxation is just not going to happen here!

Loved this hotel great feeling greeted very nicely and was given the Million Dollar view room probably just as good of a view of the lake as you can get you cant top this view unless your sitting outside cold in the snow great place friendly, the Pub next door great food all around I Give the place 5 stars

Great proprietor - found us a room that was custom and accomodating to our needs..LOVED IT! Can't wait to return there for summer. Beach was just outside the door. Clean safe friendly and comfortably warm (a real plus in the winter). A value to boot. Highly recommended!

THE MANAGER WAS WARM AND FRIENDLY; HOWEVER, THEY NEED TO GO TO WALMART AND PURCHASE NEW TOWELS - THAT WOULD REALLY IMPRESS FOLKS WHO STAY THERE. WE WERE ABLE TO USE A ONLY BAR B Q GRILL WHICH WAS NEAR THE BEACHSIDE. THAT WAS FUN. WE SHARED OUR RIBS WITH THE MANAGER

It's right next to the beach but the blankets were old and they had old and new stains. The sheets were old and semi clean. I found a roach but hid it from the girls so they wont freak out. One girl ended up finding a bug the next morning on the desk next to the bed. The shower is pathetic at best. Barely any water coming thru. We checked out the next and they charged me a cancelling fee even tho I told them about the room. Didn't even give me back half of what I paid. Found another room elsewhere that's a lot nicer for half the price. Never coming back. Ever.

Yes, maybe the room wasn't so 5 star, but the great thing about it was I would step out my door and my feet were in the sand! Thats what I love about this hotel. My mom brought us here when we were young and we went again last year and I forgot how much fun it was. Theres a volleyball court on the sand and restaurants and shops that you can go to and it just really fun.

I stayed here a couple of times and had an acceptable experience. The last weekend, however, was a disaster. To make the long story short, we inquired about canceling our reservation and were told that we will not be charged if they re-rented the room. We communicated that it was OK and we will stay in it if it were not rented. We called in the evening and were told that our room was rented and that we will not be charged, but they still charged us a day later. Pretty good deal: we got charged for a room that we could not stay in.

I was very satisfied at this hotel and would stay there again. For the cost and location what more could you expect. I felt it was clean, great location (right on the beach), walking distance to shopping! Loved it!
