Do not use there Spa Services
By Sara, 11/18/09
The place is very beautiful unfortunately the service is not the greatest after setting up an appointment for a facial for both my boyfriend and myself he had the worst experience ever! Right after his facial he went to use the restroom and when he flushed all the water fell on him all over apparently two plumbers working next door did not warn anyone not to use the restroom facilities we were still charged the full amount and no manager came to apologize or to at least made an attempt to rectify the problem. It totally destroyed our experience.

Most Horrifying experience of my life!
By Jenny, 5/3/09
When we first walked into the Marina Fiesta "resort" it looked inviting. The staff could have been more attentive, but they did help us with our luggage. After we check in, the harassment began. Every time we stepped into the lobby we were asked to see one of their timeshare properties. It was extremely annoying. The pool area was nice and the staff there were good at what they do. I would avoid the buffet as they leave the serving spoons for each dish out and I saw birds standing on them and picking at them and then reused by patrons. Then the nightmare began. We went out for dinner one night and while we were gone, a hotel employee entered our room and stole a blackberry and went through our belongings, leaving them all over the floor. We asked security to come up (we found out later there is no real security, all the young employees just switch jobs as needed) and then came up and told us we probably lost it and started to go through our things. They dug through our drawers and purses and then accused us of trashing the room. We had them run off the entry log to our room and found sometime entered using a keycard while we are at dinner. At that point the "security" guy told us he was going to call the police on us because the room was trashed. This went on and on until we finally kicked him out of our room. The next day we decided to leave as they wouldn't help us, wouldn't change the keycards to others didn't have access to our rooms and continued to turn off our room phones so we couldn't call out. We ended up feeling violated and unsafe in this place. STEER CLEAR!!

Better for night owls who want to party.
By SHR, 1/2/09
Overall I had a fun holiday trip (8 days) at Marina Fiesta but I should warn you that it is especially loud at night until 2, sometimes 4 a.m. So unless you're a night owl, looking to be in close proximity to all the clubs then you're in the right area. It's nice to get up early and run around the Marina, the beach is close by with lots of restaurant options. We loved The Office (on the beach) especially for breakfast. On the Marina, The No Where Bar makes the best drinks! We also took a Carnival Fiesta boat tour of the Arche, lovers beach and also took a smaller boat ride as well...both were okay. You'll learn some phrases while your there from the street merchants, "Almost free for you today" "Do you need a temporary mexican boyfriend" "Silver jewelry? Full body massage?" The timeshare offers are plentiful and we went to one presentation that lasted from 10 a.m. to about 1 p.m., it was a good chunk of the day but we also got 150.00 for checking it out. We opted out of the timeshare offer but it was tempting. The staff at Marina Fiesta were hospitable, I wouldn't recommend the spa (staff is not experienced and do not know how to give a massage). Our room was on the 3rd floor (7 floors total) overlooking the pool and glad I brought slippers since they don't clean the floors too regularly. I'd love to go back and try another hotel, maybe smaller, more private and quieter.

Nightmare VACATION
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/08
LOCATION! YEP...We were hit up by every sort of timeshare around, you couldn't walk 5 feet without someone coming and bothering you it was terrible! AS far as the hotel...where you do want me to start... They roomed us 3 different times! Then they gave us a room with the hottub outside...BUT it was to cold to sit in, the temp. control did not have a control only heater on, so then it was to hot. But it was dirty, like no had cleaned in that area for a long time. The hotel poeple staff were very rude. Actually this is the most unfriendly place we have ever been. Very costly place to visit and to see WHAT A DESERT!

Location YES - Relaxation NO
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/27/08
The location is ideal if you would like to walk the entire city of Cabo San Lucas and not have to rent a car or take a Taxi. The only transportation you will need is a shared van ride from/to the airport ($15. per person each way) The Marina with all boats for fishing and sightseeing are just steps from the gate to the property & the helpful concierge can arrange any boating expeditions you choose. We had a blast walking just a couple blocks to Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo & Squid Roe + all the clubs on the beach (ex: Mangos & The Office) On the downside we did not wanted to be hassled & hustled so much...the people selling things on the street are relentless and so was the hotel hostesses who tried over and over to get us to sign up for a timeshare presentation. The hostesses called our room over and over + stopped us a few times when walking through the lobby and would not take NO THANKS for an answer...we finally had to unplug our phone in the room and kept the "Do not disturb" sign on our door the whole time we were there...I would not have been surprised if someone came and knocked. Between the ladies from the lobby desk ringing our room + the construction going on next door 24 hours a day with jack hammers, generators, table saws, cement trucks beeping, sledge hammers and alarms and sirens going off we found it practically impossible to relax in our guest room. It would be a good place to stay if you were already a member of their club so they did not call your room around the clock & also wait until they finish with the building project next door so you won't be aggravated by the constant noise.

Only Place to Stay for Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/07
The Marina Fiesta is in a ideal location - especially for first time travelers to Cabo. We have been there several times before but the location is the best. We did not experience any problems with the time share people as we told them right up front that we were not interested in them. The staff was very pleasant to us and anything we asked they took care of it. We had a very nice room overlooking the pool and water - I can see if you got a back room you would not be pleased as there is construction going on next door and it could be very noisy. Overall I would recommend this hotel as long as you tell them right up front you are not interested in time shares and they never bothered us the week we were there.

You wont regret
By cowboyfan21, 4/12/07
Great staff, great location, my stay here was excellent. Location is great for shopping and all boating options. The only downside is that the beach is a long walk from the hotel. Great view of the marina but once construction on beach view side is completed, you probably will not be able to see it.

Christmas Vacation 2006
By DavidO, 1/13/07
The location is the best as it is right next to the Paraiso Mall and easy walking distance to all the popular restaurants and bars. The beach is a short walk away or you can take a water taxi to Lover's Beach or across the marina to the cruise ship dock where they have lots of shopping places. They have lots of friendly people at Marina Fiesta to help you and make your stay enjoyable. You can arrange all sorts of activities from the activities desk at a discount. They now have a free WI-FI hot spot in the lobby to check your email using your laptop. The condo is gated and has 24 hour security so it is very safe and secure. Our room had a built-in safe to keep our valuables. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and look forward to next year.

in the middle of the action
By Kristenh, 12/8/06
This hotel is not right on the beach, but with a short walk, you're there. What is good is that it's right by all the nightlife because it's at the marina. the rooms are nice and so is the pool and outdoor, rooftop wieghtroom. the only bad thing is that it is loud at night (especially if you have a room facing the marina) because you can hear the loud music of all the night clubs.
