Days Inn Ashland, Ashland

It is 5:03 AM as I write this, and I am in room 1020 at The Days Inn in Ashland, VA. There is a transport truck just outside my door loading (or unloading) cars. It is so loud that sleeping is completely outside the realm of possibility. I just spoke to the desk clerk, who says there is absolutely nothing she can do about it. If you want to try resting in an active and noisy truck stop, this is the place for you. If you want to actually sleep, I'd highly recommend someplace else. BTW, the Super 8 next door is owned by the same people, and there was a truck doing "maneuvers" there yesterday as we were checking in - that's why we moved here to The Days Inn. Aside from the noise, the place is a dump. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

This Days Inn was just awful! The bathroom very obviously hadn't been cleaned ... the shower was filthy! The security lock was broken off. The room smelled musty and it was non-smoking. We had so many problems that they refunded our money and we went to a different motel.

We stayed over two nights in this hotel. The first night there was dirty laundry from other guests in our room. We requested to move and they told us "in the mornin." We will never return!
