Maduzi Hotel Bangkok, Granbury

This was our third time to stay at The Lodge. The first two times were fair. This time however, was a nightmare. 1) There were no fitted sheets on the bed, 2) We ran out of hot water in the shower. 3) There were no dishes in a motel that advertises a functional kitchen. 4) There weren't even any racks in the dishwasher. 5) The A/C was very loud. 6) The people at the front desk were rude because when I complained about having no dishes or cups they did nothing to accomidate us with as much as styrofome cups for coffee the next morning. 7) The garbage disposer didn't work which caused the sink to stop up. We checked out with standing water in the sink. We will NEVER stay in there again.

OMG. For you folks that had a bad stay, this is not the hotel Hilton on Wakiki for gosh sakes. It is Granbury Texas where you can kick your boots off and relax a little. Live the life people and enjoy what this place has, not what it lacks. OK so our air conditioner didn't work the best but our troops in Iraq don't either. I still enjoyed this place and you should too. God bless America and thank God for Texas.

We visited the town to go to Fossil Rim for our babies 1st Birthday. Let me tell you how disgusting this room was. We put the baby down to crawl around and started to cook dinner. A few minutes later I thought I noticed something on the baby. I was so disgusted I took the baby to the front office so they could see I was not exaggerating. He was covered in a BLACK film of dirt. Not just a little dirt from outside but greasy tire like filth. Basically they treated us like crap. Gave us our money back, called the cops and asked us to leave. Un real. I was actually thrilled we got to leave. Dirty, smelly, rude staffed hotel. I would not stay there again for free.

We walked in and got a room. We were expecting to pay in the 100s, but paid almost half of that. The rooms were so spacious that I thought I never left home! Great view of the lake from the room, wow. Wish this was my home. Will come back definately soon.

Would be best to spend your money else where. A motel 6 would have been better. We rented a 2 bedroom two bath & had beds for 6 people which we had. There were 3 coffee cups, a 4 cup coffee maker, towels in each bathroom for only 2 people, air conditioner wouldn't cool properly & not enough seating for the 6 of us. Very poor customer service, rude behavior almost as if we needed to fluff her feathers. Wanted to cancel the room way before the 6:00 cut off time & was made to pay in advance , didn't want to refund our money. Had to fight tooth & nail for the 2nd night refund. I would check else where when visiting Grandbury.

Great location and value for the money. No need for a high price flag hotel. Will definately go back and recommend to others.

I loved this hotel. My room was enormous. It was very clean and neat. I loved how it was like staying in a furnished apartment. Personally, I thought this place would be more expensive for the quality they were offering. It was a wonderful experience for me. I will be staying here many more times in the future!

We loved the roominess of our two bed suite with two baths, and kitchenet. The lake view was beautiful, the whole place was clean, and the grounds are well maintained. We plan to go back in cooler weather and light a fire in the fireplace. There are a lot of stairs, but it is built on the side of a hill, and right on the lake. Ask for poolside room to avoid stairs. Poor business manners, tell you one rate then later a much higher rate after you have made plans to stay.We cancelled, suggest getting rates in writing. BT

We recently rented rooms at this facility for a family reunion. Big mistake. They are completely "renovating" the entire lodge. It is a total mess. Our rooms were rented months ahead of time and we were never told about the renovations. Several members of our group were over 65. We were told that they would be able to access their rooms via the elevator, which was not true. We worried for 2 days that someone would fall going up or down the numerous steps. Certain members of our group were switched to the ECONOLODGE across the street only days before our reunion & had to cross a busy street to get to our meeting room. The list of problems with our rooms included: dirty rooms, stained carpets, lack of hot water the 1st night, no television in the bedrooms, lack of electricity and/or lightbulbs in the bathroom, & no window coverings in the loft rooms. One of the bathrooms did not have a water supply. When it was turned on, water began to pour down below into the kitchen. There didn't seem to be anyone around that could repair anything in a timely manner or even run a vacuum. The night clerk sat at the desk spitting sunflower seeds on the counter. Hopefully, no one will visit this lodge anytime soon. We paid $169 per night....which was about $139 too much. Granbury is a great place to visit. Just plan to stay somewhere else.
