Affordable and pleasant
It was an ok hotel. For a 3 star hotel, it was better than most. The rooms were nothing special, except that it was clean and had 2 queen size beds. They had wooden shutters on the windows which you could close and this prevented the sunlight from coming in. Felt like it was night time. I liked that. The bathroom was bare, no frills. I didn't get the room with the jacuzzi. But the shower was very spartan. I didn't mind it though. The hotel had little touches that I liked. Instead of Do not Disturb signs and Please Make Room signs they had a little bed replica and a little broom replica. The newspaper came in a "bayong" which is a traditional Filipino shopping bag. The filipino breakfast was good. Sinangang, tuyo, daing na bangus, tocino, kesong puti. I noticed that the foreigners didnt have much to choose from. Just the breads, some cheeses, eggs, cereals and fruit. The service was friendly. There are no elevators in this hotel by the way. But that's ok because the concept is villas.
