Nice Find
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/09
Clean, easy access to the interstate, yet far enough off to avoid traffic noise. Desk staff was how you would like them all to be, but seldom are. In others words friendly, helpful and understanding. The location is a bit misleading, it's actually ten miles outside of Grants Pass, but that's a plus for me, because motel row in Grants Pass is overcrowded and tacky. The drive to Grants Pass along the Rogue River Highway is quick and scenic. Breakfast was quite good and plentiful and a big plus was the effort that went into making their "room directory" -- you know that binder on the desk that tells you what's in town. They actually went to great effort to fill it with good useful information. It even listed the local "swimming holes" on local creeks and how to get there. Probably my only complaint, and it is minor, is that the swimming pool is really a "cement pond," with little character and did not look very inviting when we visited during a 101-degree stretch of days. Oh, almost forgot, they have a small gift shop, which I fully expected to be a tacky sort of hodge-podge of junk, but it was actually nice with some quality merchandise. All-in-all, a terrific find for the region.

What a find!
By , 11/28/06
We were planning to stay in Medford on our 3-day road trip, but kept going north to find a smaller town. We got soooo lucky! A great rate for a beautiful hotel right on the river! A terrific selection of cable channels, a fridge and microwave in the room, and a super-friendly night receptionist. We also loved the hot tub and fitness room. The downsides were the lack of variety at breakfast (no cereal or protein options) and the bed was really hard. But we'll be back again to explore the area; we read in the super-entertaining hotel directory about the Dam, the Oregon Vortex, and the rooster-crowing contest!

THE BEST HOTEL IN OREGON!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/06
We are so thankful for this place. We drove to Oregon from Orange County, California. It was a long drive approximetly 13 hours. We had booked a room at The Wild River Inn in Grants Pass (exit 58). Got there and checked in to find that their air conditioning wasn't working. We were very disappointed that this place was so dirty and filthy on top of the air conditioning not working. We thankfully got our money back. I had called The Best Western Inn at the Rogue and they gladly put us up in a presidential suite last minute. Our kids were so glad because the room was VERY clean and nice and neat. The guy at the front desk made sure that the air was working and cooled the room off for us. The manager didn't hesitate to put us in a room last minute and that we're so grateful for. I would recommend this place to anyone. They are very nice and welcome anyone from anywhere.

I liked that there was a pool for my son, and the people were helpful and friendly. There was a free breakfast, and a diner next door too.

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/05
It is directly across from the Rogue River Bridge to the town of Rogue River. Construction noise kept us up all night. The entry hall banisters are falling apart and just waiting for someone to lean to hard and fall through. The location is 22 miles from Grants Pass. No view, too noisy, and refused to let us cancel and go somewhere even though we checked in three hours early. Very few customers there, guess I understand why.
