Courtyard by Marriott Springfield, Springfield

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 10 years during the State Fair. They recently have remodeled and the rooms are very sharp. The staff may be small but they work like a staff of 20. The coin operated dryer quit worker and immediately they emptied their dryer and let me use the hotels industrial dryer. If we needed anything - we had it within 10 minutes. Very clean, very friendly and close to a lot of restaurants, shopping etc. I would definetly recommend staying at the Courtyard. They were very busy during our stay but never once showed anything but helpfulness along with a smile. The only negative thing I would say is the price compared to some of the other hotels in Springfield considering the state of the economy.

I found this particular Courtyard average at best. It seemed a bit dated. I can’t exactly put my finger on it but it had the appearance of Fairfield Inn that was being converted into a Courtyard. Nothing wrong with the Fairfield chain, I stay at them all the time but the Courtyard is definitely priced higher. For the extra $50 +/- price tag that usually accompanies a Courtyard over a Fairfield I would expect the overall appearance to be upgraded as well. I didn’t have any complaints about the staff nor did I feel unsafe while staying there. The hotel was clean.

The Staff at this Courtyard always makes you feel welcome. That explains why it's so hard geting a reservation during the week. It's also nice to have a hot breakfast and service to boot.
