Simply stepping inside this 1872 Victorian reveals where it gets the name. Much of the walls, ceilings and antique furniture are made of fine, well-preserved oak, creating a perfect atmosphere for the inn's nautical theme. Outside, the pastel hues and wraparound porch make this one of the island's grandest houses. Afternoon tea is served on the glassed-in sunporch, which is adorned with white wicker, greenery and the house's original stained-glass touches. It may be perched on a busy street, but this inn is beautiful, well-tended and offers a wonderful view of the beach. Rates vary with the season. A three-night minimum stay is required in high season. Children must be over 10. A sister property, the Dockside Inn is also in Oak Bluffs. Property Information by Wcities, Inc |
