Hyatt Place Keystone, Indianapolis

I read the reviews on here after booking my room, and was concerned. After staying here, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly, and my room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and quiet. The breakfast was nothing special, but about what I expected for a "free continental" breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are spacious and big, however, it would be nice to have the bathroom facilities enclosed with a sink and counter area to enable more privacy. Didn't mind reusing linens but sufficient towel racks to hang "used" towels to dry would have been nice. We used hangers from the closet. Not impressed with continental breakfast.

The rooms on the freeway side are not inhabitable. You will not sleep, due to the freeway noise. The toilet did not flush properly; it sort of just drained downward (sorry for the reprot if you've just eaten) I heard they were going to fix this place up, and give it a new name. Good luck with that. We checked out early in the midst of a scheduled three-night stay. Several other patrons were doing likewise. The desk clerk did not seem the least bit surprised when we checked out and moved over to one of the other hotels in the immediate area.

This hotel has a great location adjacent to many good restaurants and shopping. Just off of Highway 465 beltline on North side of Indianapolis. We've stayed here several years during the Memorial Day weekend. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, but the overall condition of the facility needs updating / modernization. The continental breakfast is OK, but they should consider starting it at 6:00 AM on Race Day to accommodate guests wanting to get an early start to the racetrack. Hydraulic elevators need serviceing as they vibrate and make noise. Front desk is usually understaffed at critical times, and have not been as friendly as other hotels I've stayed at. Gift bags to race fans are a nice touch. Rates jacked up to $169.00 / night on Memorial Day weekend which is typical for Indianapolis, I guess. Lobby / lounge area somewhat dirty and unkept due to heavy use and sporadic cleaning. Rooms need a facelift and fresh paint badly. Cheap room radios need to be replaced. All rooms have kitchenette and refrigerators. Room we stayed in this year had water damage from leaking sprinkler pipe above vanity light valance and plaster was never repaired and is falling off the wall.
