Comfort Suites South Burlington, South Burlington

Stayed for one night in July. There was some initial confusion about the hotel upon arrival. Seems that the Holiday Inn Express and the Comfort Suites had changed/switched buildings. Anyway, it was quickly cleared up. Room was clean, spacious, and well laid out for 2 adults and 2 children. Nice location. Competitive price. Couldn't agree more with iholdmanygrudges about the lady at the continental breakfast bar. (which was really nice). I would recommend this hotel (the one at 1712 Shelburne Rd.)

After seeing most of New England and staying at some pretty lousy motels/hotels, this was a nice change. A clean, I assume, recently refurbished room was a welcome surprise. It was located a short drive to downtown and tourist attractions (VT Teddy Bear, Magic Hat Brewery, Lake Champlain cruises, Lake Champlain Chocolates, etc). The only problem was the lack of any closet or clothes hanging fixtures. Staff was friendly, except for an old biddy who made everyone at breakfast feel like they were imposing on her time. They had just installed a great waffle-making machine, and she yelled at anyone who did not know the intricacies of working it (ie: everyone). However, the complementary breakfast selection was outstanding and so were the surroundings. I would stay there again. Try to get to the nearby restaurant (Lake View Bar & Grill, I believe). Great food and great prices with a 10% discount if you're staying at this hotel - see reception.

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay for a long weekend away without the kids. This hotel was the chosen place to be. It was located on the main drag for things to do, not that we left our room that much. I suggest you get the suite with the 2 person hot tub at least bring your own candles and music. The free morning cont. breakfast was fine but we did not stay here to eat we went out to eat at the nearby restaurants. The service was friendly and the place was neat. The only downside I saw was that the public pool was located inside a building that was not connected so we ihad to go outside to get to it. Not that we minded as we has a private hot tub to use instead but if I wanted to use it the temp outside to go from bldg to bldg was -18. All in all I will go here again, and would recoment this to a friend.

Our stay was wonderful. Great continental breakfast each morning. Clean and comfortable rooms. Quiet!!! Very peaceful Quiet rooms. Never heard traffic or people. The whole experience was so pleasant and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends or family. Thank you!

The Holiday inn express in South Burlington is my favorite little hotel. You get great customer service, the rooms are clean, and the room that I always sty in is AMAZING. I recommend the loft suite. It's two floors, 1 king size bed on the first floor, and also a bathroom and kitchen on the 1st fl., on the second floor there is a queen size bed in a bedroom also another bathroom with a 1 person jacuzzi and a skylight. This place is amamzing, especially for Burlington.

it was really nice the breckfest was veary nice much better then most! and it was nice and clean. but walking to the pool was a pain.
