Clarion Hotel Morgan, Morgantown

The front desk and manager were unhelpful and unfriendly. My guest and I were treated as a low priority compared to the alleged new guests. Once the credit card went through, they no longer felt the need to be courteous to us. It shouldn't be an ordeal to get towels and toilet paper in your room, but that's how we spend all day Sunday. They didn't care that we couldn't do anything in town because we couldn't shower and they didn't care that we had to use the lobby restroom instead of the one in our room. It was 5:30pm before we could shower. I will never stay here again.

The price is right, the hotel is only minutes away from plenty of food and entertainment, and the staff is the best I've seen. The restaurant upstairs has an amazing view, and the very best steak I have ever eaten. I stay in a lot of hotels working with gas and oil in the area and when I find a hotel that stands out I want everyone to know. The Hotel Morgan is the place to stay when in Morgantown WV and I hope my trip lasts forever.

my husband and i stayed here for one night. we loved it. The hallways did smell odd but hey it is a historical hotel. the room was large and had a nice television. overall it was NICE.

well worth the money Excellent food & caring staff. Extra large rooms with refrig & microwave. There is a chef on site. There is an excellent dining upstairs on the top floor. Very romantic.

This historic hotel is very nicely renovated with comfortable beds and nicely appointed rooms. The continental breakfast included fresh baked waffles. The front desk clerk was very efficient and knowledgable about the area. All in all it was a very nice stay!

We had vehicle problems during our big road trip and broke down near Morganstown. The tow truck driver took us to the Hotel Morgan because it was near the repair shop he suggested. We never planned on staying in Morganstown, but we certainly enjoyed our stay there. And, because it was so comfortable... our negative car break-down situation ended up being an enjoyable 2-days! The staff was friendly and helpful...they even gave us a ride to pick up our car after the repair! The breakfast was fantastic! Lots of choices and was in a beautiful setting outside on top of the hotel. The room was large, comfortable, and had all the extras we needed. We felt it was a fantastic value for the high quality of the hotel! The only part of our stay that wasn't perfect was the fact that the room wasn't ready until 3:00 PM. So, we had to sit in their lobby and wait for about 3 hours. Other than this, it was excellent!

The front desk staff was courtious and lobby appealing; however, upon entering the room we were met without a strong damp odor. Since there were no other vacanacies in Morgantown that night, we decided with could "live" with the accommodations for one night. Later in the evening, we took of our shoes stepped into a massive wet area around the air conditioning unit. I asked for a different room. Instead, a parking valet arrived with a new AC filter and a spray bottle. He misted the filter and left. I asked how that was going to dry the flooded area, and was told "This should take care of it." Upon our departure, after a sleepless night, the floor was still sopping and the odor was as strong as when we arrived.

I visited the hotel morgan and was very put out by one of thier empolyees. A girl named Kara insulted me and my guest. I found the hotel to be nice but another hotel in town, the Radisson, to be more suiting and with a better quality of staff.
