Won,t go there again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/08
We were told that we would have a room for 24.99/ night and that they would give us twenty dollars gambling money. Upon our arrival ,they wouldn't give it to us because it wasn't noted on our reservation. We called the supervisor on the house phone and was told too bad. We told them we wouldn't stay there again and they replied OK. We have had reservations there before and they could not find it upon our arrival even though we had a confirmation. Desk help has a bad attitude also. Not a good way to do business.

They are cold, and greedy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/08
Someone should sue the Black Brothers for false advertising. That other person who was a victim of the "advertised cheap rooms", is not alone. I too saw the signs on the I-15 and the prices DO NOT say with reservation only. One time I showed up at 3am, and the parking lot was empty. Upon trying to register I was told the hotel was sold out. I asked why the parking lot was so empty and I was just ignored.

Wouldn't stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/08
False advertising was my first irritation, traveling north on the I-15 the billboards showed the rooms to be $24.99, Sunday thru Thursday. No where on the billboards did they state "with reservation or as available" The desk clerk told me they "raise" the rates as the rooms become occupied. Other issues: I requested a specific building to be near the pool, the clerk put me in a room on the reverse side of the pool, I had to go back to registration and get a new room, the air conditioner temperature was preset at 69*, I spent the night waking up in pools of sweat, the casino itself was dingy and uninviting, the person seating at the restaurant ignored patrons waiting to be seated and the pool area is littered with debris from the palm trees. Nope won't stay here again

Won't Stay Here Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/08
We stayed here because the nicer places were full a month ahead of time. While I will say the room was very clean, especially the bathroom, it had the most dilapidated furnishings I think I've ever seen. Very worn-out furniture, nasty old pictures and drapes that practically had holes worn in them. The casino was extremely smoky (where is the ventilation system?) and the restaurant food was really terrible. My husband's hamburger had been obviously been sitting around for quite some time, and the tempura shrimp I ordered was NOT tempura shrimp - very heavy, greasy batter.

I had a great time!
By sandibeaches1, 10/04/07
The Virgin River Casino was a fun place to stay. I arrived without reservations from Hobson Montana and they had an affordable room for me. I wound up staying 3 days instead of 1! My room was clean, the staff was very helpful and I would definitely stay there again.

good value
By John, 08/18/07
Pros: Great rate Sun-Thurs but make reso ASAP or you'll pay more. pet friendly, short walk to casino, right off I-15, 70 miles to Vegas, 36 miles to St George. Cons: In summer this area cooks If looking for lots of frills go elsewhere

No Frills But OK
By Larnee B, 07/13/07
I read the reviews and disagree. This is definetely NO FRILLS, but its decent. I do not go to live in a room, so if the bed is clean the air works and there is TV, its suffiecient. The A/C will blow you out! the TV had a good variety of channels. The linens in our room were clean, and the beds were adequate. The customer service is great, and the buffet was enjoyable. There was a good variety, fresh, and clean. So if you are on a budget, more into sight seeing, and "cha-chinging" instead of roosting in a room, this is a good bet!

We will be back on the 27th
By glen, 07/11/07
The staff was friendly and helpfull, we have two small dogs and it is pet friendly. Rooms were nice, in Reno we paid 5 times the price for a really shabby room. Stayed there on the way to Monterey, CA and on the way back. We have to be in Monterey again on the 29th and are looking forward to staying again. Don't like that they want to chgarge you $9.95 for a internet connection, that is uncalled for.

The personel here are best we have encountered anywhere, and we have been coast to coast. Everyone seems to be having a good time, including the employees.
