WONDERFUL!

The Clarion was really my first Swedish impression. I am from The United States and wasn't sure what to expect, but once my friends and I got to Jonkoping, at this beautiful building, I was at my second home! The architecture of this building and the others that surround it is beautiful. (the pictures online do not justify it). It is clean and nicely decorated. There is an inside courtyard with skylights where continental breakfast is served, this architecture is magnificent and made me feel royal. There is a nice jacuzzi room (or "batsu"). The guestroom bathrooms have a shower and stool in the same room. I wouldn't think it is necessary to say that but many quality hotels in Sweden have these two utilities in SEPERATE rooms. The hotel windows open and allow you to talk freely with the locals outside of your window if you wish. This hotel is walking distance to the train station, and to several pubs and restaurants. It offers a locked garage to store your car. Wireless internet so that you may use your laptop in your room. Friendly and pleasing staff. I have nothing to say negative about this place. I would love to live here! A word of warning for American travellors though: Most European hotels do NOT have washcloths. They have towels but not a small cloth to wash your face with. I was not accustom to that. Also, most all European hotels do not have a large bed for couples. If you ask for a double bed, they will push two twin beds together. I slept great on these very plush soft beds but once me and my lover hugged in the center on the bed, we nearly fell through to the ground! So beware. Its really not a problem though if you spread an extra sheet over the crease. You will soon find that out! Enjoy your stay, and be all means I recommend The Clarion of Jonkoping!
