Lousy

The lobby is a grandiose thing, decorated in a rococo style that is truly garish. Our room was shabby and poorly lit. The bathroom was older and in not-great condition. The location is fine albeit in a tacky, spectacularly congested part of HK - Causeway Bay. Minibar items were, we thought, excessively expensive as were the in-house cafe, restaurant, and bars. All in all a poor value. Also - we reserved a room with a king bed which was "not ready" when we checked in in the late afternoon. We took twins because we didn't want to wait until evening. Service personnel was fine but everything, absolutely everything, costs top dollar here. There IS, however, a great dim sum restaurant on the second floor of the connecting building. No English spoken, but great eating. Look for it but do avoid staying in this hotel.
