OHANA Bayview Guam, Barrigada

I stayed 5 days in this good for value hotel. You can walk down to DFS and Outrigger but it will be uphill coming back. The hotel is cheap! its Clean, bathrooms are clean, sheets are clean and staff were nice. the best part if you get to have a balcony overlooking the whole pleasure island strip at night and day. The best thing to do is to rent a car to travel Guam. The shopping bus or trolley will take you 20-30 mins waiting time and with bags of goods on your hands, it will be a battle with the Japs and Koreans in the island. They are everywhere. But the red trolley bus stops in front of this hotel...brings you to Micronesia Mall(where Macy's is) and Kmart and (Guam Premium Outlet(where ROSS is). The hotel has enough parking area for a car rent, and it will give you 20% off the rack rates of Hertz. A tip, go and rent a car from those smaller operators they give you half the price of Avis/Hertz. One example is Europa Rent a car in Tumon area. I would stay in Ohana Bayview again without doubt bec it has good tie ups with Philippine Airlines Swingaround package...very goood value for money!!!!

Like: 1. it's close, but not too close to the town. My wife and I could easily walk to Duty free and Outrigger hotel. 2. the view of hotel is facing the town, not just the beach or ocean. It would not be just a piece of dark. 3. big rooms with 2 queen beds. Dislike: 1. they don't reply emails, you better call them in advance for confirmation and airport transportation (free transportation between airport and hotel). 2. in-hotel facility is not good enough, so you have to use Outrigger hotel's pool and facility. 3. No tour desk. You have to check out others in other hotel or information center.

This hotel is near to DFS Gallery. Maybe 5 mins by walk. Room is clean & big, overlook the Tumon Bay area. The service is good but the breakfast need to add more choices. Walk down to the next complex, you will find a lot of restaurant.

I agree with the comment on the other traveler. Besides that, the swimming pool in Ohana Bayview is very small. Thanks God we can use the pool and other facilities in Outrigger Resort. Also, if they can change the continental breakfast to a buffet breakfast will be better.
