Loved Regent Petite France!
By AngelaO, 3/10/09
Hotel Regent Petite France is a great hotel. The location of the hotel is plopped right out of a story book. The hotel along the canals in the very charming and beautiful Petite France area of Strasbourg. Our hotel room over looked the canal and the city towers. It was beautiful in the winter time. I can't not image how breathtaking it would be in the summer. On one side of the hotel is the locks that the tour boat passes through. It was very interesting to watch the locks in action. Also, for those traveling with little ones, there is a park just across the street from the hotel. The hotel is a very easy walk to many of the major attractions in Strasbourg and a short stroll to wonderful shops and restaurants. The trams are also within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. The lobby area is very modern and sleek. Our room was very traditional. From what I understand every room at the Regent is different. Our room was a very large room with a king size bed (two twins pushed together). The room, even with it's desk and table and chairs, still had ample room for the addition of a roll away bed. The room was very clean and was always restocked and freshen up by staff twice a day. Breakfast was included with our rate and was very nice. They offered an assortment of juices, pastries, breads, cheese, meat, yogurts, fruit, cereal, and a few warm items such as bacon, pancakes, and eggs. Breakfast was the highlight of my 4 year old son's day. Every morning he would wake up and ask if they had breakfast downstairs. By the end of our stay he had become friends with one of the waiters. The waiter would play hide and seek with him and would help him with his food. It was very nice for both of us. The hotel's staff is very helpful and friendly. The staff all spoke at least a little English and was very helpful with directions. The hotel is a fairly expensive hotel, but because of it's location and helpful staff, if I travel to Strasbourg again, I would want to stay here.

Vive La Petite France!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/6/08
Where do I begin to tell you how GREAT this place is! It is a little bit of the 21st century amid houses built in the 1600's. The room I had was très chic, ultra modern right down to the method used in turning on the lights! The staff members couldn't have been more competent and friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful. The food for breakfast was comparable to a small feast. Not only do they have the traditional French fare, but they also have the heartier German food, i.e., sausages, rolls, cakes, and cold cuts. The location was a ten-minute walk from the train station. It is slightly difficult to find but once there, you will be delighted,I know. I enjoyed the leisurely train ride from Paris, too. All in all, a tremendous experience, one I hope to capture again quite soon.

peaceful and elegant
By talitalissimo, 5/5/05
beautiful with a sense of peace, excellent service elegant and refined interior design and music it is right over the turning bridge and the sound of the rushing water was relaxing as well. I'm usually very particular and picky but this was truly a hotel for people with taste the brideges are pretty as well as the trees
