Great hotel in a great city.
I visited the Fiesta Americana in November 2005. My Spanish is not the best, but it didn't matter. There are English speaking workers, so there are no problems in that area. It was my first time in Leon, and the hotel employees gave me excellent places to see and gave me plenty of tips of what to do. There are on-site shops, restuarants, and currency exchange. All of the workers were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful. It was already decorated for Christmas and the chef was building a big gingerbread house. The hotel's location is excellent. It is only a short walk to the shoe mall. To the other direction is the downtown area. This is a little bit more of a walk, 20 minutes or so. If you're not up to the walk, there are taxis everywhere. You must visit the downtown area if staying in Leon. If you want to buy it, you can find it. I was so impressed with the whole experience, I'm planning on making a trip to Leon and the Fiesta Americana an annual event.
