The View's as Awesome as the Food is Awful
My first meal here was cold and awful. As if they'd simply opened a cold jar of Ragu and dumped it on the limp, overboiled pasta. It wasn't even heated enough to melt the shredded parmesan cheese (also from a plastic container.) But the view of the raging river from the dining deck is so spectacular, I had to take my dad there this year. Same cold Ragu poured on bland, overboiled ravioli! For $28.00+!!
The wine selection was decent, but pricey. My pa reported his filet mignon was nothing special and cold. The hot bread rolls they brought out with the foil-wrapped pats of butter were really the only good part of the meal.
This is a great place to stop for the view. I recommend bringing your own bottle of wine, paying the corkage fee, and sharing the least expensive appetizer you find, just so you can enjoy this spectacular view without having to endure such horrible food. The service was competent, and the staff friendly, but the food reminds one of a Swanson's TV dinner, served cold.
