dirty, you have to ask for soap and the power goes on an off.

I'm sure in the 1970's this motel was a hit but nowadays it should be considered a relic. Ditto on all the negative reports. I learned my lesson to check other people's reviews from now on before committing my hard-earned vacation money to places like this that are a scam to attract customers with fake websites Thank you shore point management for screwing our only vacation this year

Pretty messy place for the price and staff needs to learn customer service skills

To whom it may concern: My stay at the Shore Point motel in Point Pleasant beach was horrible. Everything went wrong and they ruined my kids' first vacation in years. The best thing that could happen to this town is that this horrendous place shuts down. In 20+ years of traveling all over the States, I've never seen anything like it. The manager "Joe" should intern himself into a loony bin before continuing offering such a poor product and being so rude to people. 1 star across the board Joe Rizzo

That's what I said to the rude owner of this place when he deliberately "misplaced" the reservation we had for an efficiency apartment in order to overcharge another group for the same days. He lied to my face and claimed that his front desk person overlooked my reservation and other guests were already checked in into our efficiency apartment. He gave us a regular room I should say a miniature room and wanted us to pay the same price that he had already charged us on my credit card. I took a walk at the apartment in the back that was supposed to be ours and the guest told us that they were a walk-in in the morning. Never had a reservation. In other words he was able to charge them more money for the same stay and tried to play us into believing that it was a mistake. I think he ended up doing us a favor because the place is really like a matchbox. Have to close the closet door to open the bathroom door. Seriously a complete joke!

You really don't get your money worth We've tried almost every motel in the area and this is probably the worst. We come to the shore all the time so we really know what we are talking about I notice something funny: all the 'positive' reviews on this motel are very much and weirdly alike.Same wording, same good points emphasized, talks about the same people and same things. Hum I'm gonna have to agree that something is up. It's sad that whomever is writing those has to resort to this to attract potential customers

My son and I went fishing and needed a place to stay at the last minute. We booked a room at another hotel but it was really bad. I called the Shorepoint and spoke with Terry, who was more than helpful, and got us a room at a very reasonable price. We would definitely go back and we are going to do so soon. Granted, it is small , but it is very clean and Joe the owner was very helpful and accommodating.

There is one person at the front desk named Terri or Terry and she tries her best but this place is the last motel on the list in terms of all the motels in Point beach Doesn't anyone know how to properly clean a room?...What is with the decades old bed covers and linens. Why is the bathroom so small?

Stayed there for memorial weekend. The outside is nice and looks like a good place but then you find the rooms are really small old crappy and dank, not even a bathtub like any other motel in the area. And to add to the shame the office people are rude. One said he was the owner and had never had a complaint. Well, what about all the stuff posted here?. I wish I would've seen these reviews before going there. We ended up checking out earlier and going home because every other motel was booked..hum...I wonder why? I would never stay there again in a million years

Had a great stay this past Memorial Day weekend. I reserved a room 2 weeks prior to memorial day weekend for my girlfriend and I. She is extremely picky so I was really worried after I booked and read these reviews a week later but was afraid to cancel and loose my money due to the 7 day cancel policy. When I checked it was by a woman named Terry who has said she had been working the desk for years if you call to book a room now thats who you'll get not the owner. As we checked in we were given free beach passes. When we checked into the room my girlfriend than examined the room before brining our stuff in and her only complaint was the room was a little small but she did say it was very clean and she was happy! The pool area is big and looks like a new pool they had a grilling area with two grills and picnic tables for guest so saturday night I made dinner before we went out and it saved me some money. It was pretty mellow for a holiday weekend @ the jersey shore. The parking is a little tight and the shower towels are a little small (I'm 6'2 215 lbs) so i needed to use two towels every time i showered but I didn't have a problem getting extra towels. The weather was great, place was mellow we were out of the room most of the day but it was everything we needed and my girlfriend had such a great weekend we booked a room for 4th of July and were both looking forward to our stay, hopefully we get the same weather we did this past weekend..
