Holiday Inn Exp Stes Okmulgee, Okmulgee

This hotel open in feb 2010 all the review below that are from 2009 and before are for the best western okmulgee. I have contacted yahoo to report the problem. Holiday inn express in okmulgee features a indoor pool and spa with complimentary hot breakfast. Free wired and wireless Internet.

We stayed at this hotel 12/25/11 thru 12/18/11. The main reason we chose this hotel over the one across the street was because of the indoor pool. The water was so cold that the kids spent the whole time in the hot tub. Exterior doors didn't work with keycard but it didn't really matter as the latch was missing a screw so the door didn't really latch anyway. Not ideal if security is a concern. The staff seemed to be put off when asked anything. When checking in the lady seemed to be irritated by my presence, so much so that she wouldn't even stand up to help me. Rather, she sat in a chair the entire time I was checking in...kind of rude in my opinion. The lady in charge of the breakfast was incredibly rude as every day she would make a point to tell everyone that breakfast ends in x # of minutes so get what you want now because I am pulling everything right at 9:30. Also, the food was terrible: I think they recycled the unused eggs from the previous day and cinnamon rolls nothing like they advertise. Basically any of the "fresh-made" food was of very poor quality. For being a hotel that is less than 2 years old, there were a number of things that were in disrepair. I was certainly surprised that this hotel was as new as the website states. At the prices this hotel rents rooms, it simply is not worth it. There was one person who worked the desk a few times during our stay that was incredibly nice, so I can't say everyone was rude. Nevertheless, I will not stay here again as long as there are other options or until the price drops to a more reasonable level as compared to other hotels in the area.

The Reviews below can't be true since the hotel was not complete and didn't even open until Feb 2010. Why the negative comments before the building is even built or open?

i call To make reservations was told ..'''''all rooms were smoking''' advise desk clerk it don't think that was correct..friend had just made reservations .she is cancer surviver an know for sure she wld not stay in smoking hotel room..desk clerk went on to say LOOK LADY THIS IS HOW IT GOES DOWN AT '''MY'' HOTEL''' TAKE WHAT I'V TOLD YOU OR GO SOME PLACE ELSE..THIS IS AMERICA PEOPLE SMOKE..CALLED MY FRIEND BACK WE DID CONFERENCE CALL ME ON THE LINE..SHE WAS TOLD IF SHE WANTED A NON SMOKONG ROOM..THE RATE WAS TWICE THE ORGINAL RATE QUOTE THIS WAS A TAKE THEIR WAY OR GO SOME PALCE ELSE.AGAIN THIS IS AMERICA.

AAlthough the rooms were clean and the front desk was friendly, This is the second time I was quoted one price when i made my reservation then on both occasions I was called prior to my arrival only to be told that they made a mistake and my rate would change by $50.00. I then called Corporate and was told that they had to acknowledge the price that I was quoted. Get it together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt like i was being ripped off. And front desk employees didnot know what they were doing.

When we went into our non smoking room..our room was right next to a smoking room..all the smoke smell came through the paper thin walls. I had reservation for 2 days but the next day they were going to charge me 10 dollar more. Messed up YES! Luckily i went to the Days Inn...They have recently just renovated thier hotel and for almost 20 dollars less its offers everything that this hotel does. Will never stay at the Best Western Again!

I love the value and the location is excellent when attending OSU. The housekeeping was excellent very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms.It is very quiet also.Will recommend this motel to all of the other employees from my work who im sure will be there soon....
