Hilton Prague, Prague

Relieved to get a smile in Prague and have someone speak fluent English. Train and bus a block away and walk to the square is doable. Spectular antrim. Summer garden is refreshingly quiet and relaxing. Steam room and sauna available. Nice bar scene with lots of sports on TVs. One dislike: Gym is not included.

My husband and I have no likes about this hotel aside that it was convenient. They were expensive and poorly decorated. My husband and I went there for our honeymoon and the staff knowing that, they 'upgraded' us from standard to deluxe. Throughout the whole stay we had there, every single day we were there we were awaken by loud thumpings and knockings and it wouldnt stop till 5pm. At the end of our stay when checking out, we had asked them for a copy of the bill and they told us that they couldnt and we can get the bill online since we booked it online. I am SURE that I had asked him if there were any extra charges and the receptionist said no. The next thing you know when we are back to New York, we see a $900 charge on our credit card that was done the day AFTER we left the hotel. How sleazy was that???? so when we called them to get the bill settled, we called the 1800 number of the Hilton Hotels and they tell us that we need to call Prague because they have centralized booking but NO centralize billing... how convenient. And they call themselves a five star luxury hotel???? NEVER again will we stay in a Hilton. THANK YOU FOR RUINING MY HONEYMOON HILTON!

This is a very large business hotel (5000 rooms) close to the train station but a good 20 minute walk to the tourist parts of town. If you like a hotel where nobody knows your name this is it! When I travel in Europe I prefer a more boutique hotel where the staff cares for each guest. The hotel does provide a private taxi service which was a good feature, but expensive.

We were surprised by the cheerful, well-trained staff in what used to be a fairly grim city. The rooms are fine - very quiet on the atrium side - and the included breakfasts were all we could ask for. The dining room (Czech House) food and service were both excellent. The only downside is location. At the Northeast corner of the city it's a bit far from the center, but we (retirees) did walk back from Old Town one drizzly afternoon.
