Booked for two nights found bed bugs couldn't get out of there quick enough, left to find better motel wouldn't recomend to anyone to stay here.

Checked in on July 25th,2008. Found bed bugs when removing spread. Desk clerk informed us that room had previously been treated. Immediately left. Contacted head office. Given a claim number and a wait of several days. Subsequent response from headquarters was it was the responsibility of the Manitou Springs Super 8 not theirs. Contacted the local health department (El Paso County, Manitou Springs) and was informed that because of reduced staff/budget they cannot help. This is very troubling as it leaves unsuspecting travelers vunerable. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. It ruined our vacation.

really weird service. Booked 3 days - had to have card key activated each day. Needed laundry after a week on the road - no soap,no coin available at desk. Really poor "breakfast service". cold cereal, OJ, coffee, repulsive looking muffins or something similar - same tray three mornings. No place for luggage except floor. No remote for TV - got one later - did not work. No trash liners in waste baskets - not a problem for us but mess for housekeepers. No towel bar by wash basin. Wifi quit third day. I am now logged on to wifi net coming from Best Western next door.
