Super 8 Custer Crazy Horse Are, Custer

I like this motel because they do not discriminate about what agency a service dog is registered with as another place in Custer does. Even after making reservations with the other motel, I was not allowed to stay because my dog is registered with a local agency instead of ADA. Super 8 welcomed me and my dog. The staff was gracious, nice to chat with and had a message waiting for me from a friend who lives in SD. Super 8 didn't even know I would be staying there. The staff was very helpful with information. My room was great. I didn't need daily service. I let them know when I needed something other than that, they left me alone....I liked that. They are in a great location. I am coming back for a 2nd visit this fall and bringing a friend with me. i would suggest this motel to anyone who is traveling.

We ride motorcycle and this place was great to us. They even provided rags and water for washing the bugs off our bike. We had a small medical problem also while there and the staff was more than helpful. they provided service beyond the normal. The rate was the best in the hills. We cant wait to go back.

The room was decent. Good size, not spacious, though. It was very clean, no funky odors at all. The mattresses were firm and I slept well. The people were very nice. The best part was the continental breakfast. It was probably the best hotel breakfast I've had in this price range. Bread, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee--and best of all: biscuits with sausage gravy. It was excellent. An hour after we left, I remember telling my wife that I wished I would have gone back for seconds on the biscuits and gravy. The town itself leaves a little something to be desired, but as far as getting away from the more populated areas, but still being near enough to get to all the things to see in that area, it was a pretty solid place. The local restaurants were pretty decent. Nothing overwhelmingly special, but better than a lot of small town restaurants.

Great breakfast, clean rooms, and friendly staff. We stayed 4 nights in the motel visiting the various attractions of the area (Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, Crazy Horse, Devil's Tower, Custer State Park, etc) and the location of Custer was perfect.

Liked the comfortable bed, service, pool, location. Decided to stay a 2nd night and were glad we did. I recommend this hotel :good value for your dollar - better than many upscale hotels we visited!

The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The room we were given had a really cool view of the huge rocks behind the building. Sounds funny to view rocks, butthey are awesome. Room was very clean and comfortable, would stay again! Sorry we didn't get to try the hot-tub and indoor pool- no swimsuits with us in the winter!Next time!

Liked the location and the rooms were typical for a Super 8. The price was not typical, could not get a room for under $100 and we were told this was their usual rate!
