Holiday Inn Dubuque Five Flags, Dubuque

Like: none Dislike: The Staff is deffinetly not nice/helpful. DONT COME HERE WITH KIDS! they will get mad at them for the stupidest things like knocking on your door, the hottubs smaller than my sink. The walls are old. Please dont stay here, Grandy Harbor, or Best Western

Nice location, middle of downtown. Room was clean and well supplied. The staff was very nice and helpful. I ask a lot of questions, and they were more than helpful. My room also had a nice view of the Mississippi.

The room was nice and clean. Slept ok until we got woken up by some very loud and obnoxius neighbors at 2:30 am. I called the front desk to complain, but it seemed like no one went to take care of the situation, considering it was 4:30 am when the noise quit. The next morning I talked to the front desk about it and they had no knowledge of the complaint I had made. They did offer us a free breakfast for the inconvenience which we appreciated. The food from the on site restaurant, the night before was ok, but they only had one server and a bar full of people so service was very slow. My steak was way overcooked, and didn't really look like a quality cut of meat. My husband and I were there for our anniversary and we were disappointed. We probably won't be back.

We spent two nights at this Holiday Inn and my husband and I both slept exceptionally well. The mattress was so comfortable I would like to know what kind it is so I can buy one. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. Everything was clean. The price was a little high but not way out of line.

I'm a Holiday Inn "Priority Club" member and I have found Holiday Inn's quality to be all over the map. Very inconsistent in general. In light of the good reviews I saw on this page, it sounded like a safe bet. Maybe my timing was just bad, buy my experience here has knocked Holiday Inn off my first choice for hotels. It started with the full parking structure thanks to the wedding that was going on that weekend. 3 levels, with 3 different entrances. Can't find a spot? Go out the way you came, drive around the block and try the other entrance? Oh, by the way, the lower level has no entrance to the hotel, you'll have to walk around the block to get into the hotel. Then they put us - my wife, me and three kids under the age of 10 in the room next to a whirlpool suite being used by (you guessed it) the bride and groom. We found that out the next day after we complained. What were they thinking?

We were very unhappy about the condition of the elevators. They were in very poor working condition. They didn't always stop on the correct floors. They were very very very slow. 5th floor it bounced up and down. Some were out of order. Also the beds in our room were as hard as a rock. We didn't sleep well at all.

I cannot think of one thing to reallly complain about! The front desk personnel were helpful & informative & FRIENDLY. The sports bar & restaurant were nice too and the breakfast buffet compares to one I recently went to in Rome. Hey ya'll did a great job, & I will be coming back!

This hotel has a great location, very convenient. Our room was spotless and the front desk was very friendly and went out of their way to help us in our time of need. It was greatly appreciated. We will be back!
