Gran Melia Caracas Hotel, Caracas

Everything was horible from the food to the pool it was BAD the people were soooo so soo meen i felt like i was a crimanal i got horable looks from the staff.

When visiting Caracas it is very important to feel safe and secure. There is however some say a price for feeling that way. I would suggest using a travel agent in making reservations so that you can get the best deal. The Gran Melia provides the foreign visitor a semblance of home as it provided many bi and tri lingual employees. The Pool is very beautiful and sits above the busy Caracas streets with a view of the mountains in the background. It is the place to be in Venezuela, as many of the important leaders of the country use the lobby as a way to convey their competence, when giving interviews. Also, another thing that is really nice is that if you so choose you can access the shopping mall attached without ever walking the streets if you so desire. I usually begin and end my trips to Venezuela at the Gran Melia, it's my way of adjusting back to familiar pace of the U.S.A.. Its a place where you feel safe and secure.

The service the cleaning the facilities is excellent. Nevertheless the location is not very good. The room is very warm and the service of careful cleaning.

One of the finest lobbies I've seen awaits you on your entrance to this class act . The rooms are sheer elegance , the bed is turned down at night and a small gift left . The decor is superb and it is more of a suite than a room. The staff are very helpful, friendly and speak English . I only stayed one night with bed and breakfast . The breakfast is a delight in a beautiful terrace setting with all tastes catered for. Includes a 4 piece band - violin ,cello , drum and organ playing hits from the 70s and 80s , the music was professionally good. One thing to remember the immediate area is not that safe at night but a taxi can get you to Plaza Bolivar or other safe areas.

SUCH A BREATHTAKING HOTEL LOCATED IN THE LOVELY CITY OF CARACAS IT IS THE BEST HOTEL THAT I HAVE STAYED IN MY WHOLE LIFE EVERYTHING IS EXCELLENT... IT IS REALLY SOMETHING AMAZING TO STAY IN THIS SPECTACULAR PLACE. ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS OF THE WORLD, BUT FOR ME THE, THIS IS THE BEST HOTEL OF THE WORLD.....

DEFINITIVELY GRAN MELIA CARACAS IS ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS IN THE WORLD. EVERYTHING WAS SPECTACULAR IN THIS HOTEL AND THE CITY IS THE BEST IN THE WHOLE WORLD. I LOVE EVERYTHING IN THIS STUNNING PLACE.... THE BEST HOTEL THAT I HAVE BEEN IN MY LIFE

I recently stayed at this former five star hotel because the Marriott was sold out. I found the Melia to be old and cold, the staff were not customer centric and the business center lacked modern conveniences like decent printers. Unless you enjoy expensive antiquated hotels, the Gran Melia Caracas is not a good choice.

This could be one of the best hotel around the world. It has something special. The staff, the facilities, the rooms... everything you need is coming to be realized
