Days Inn Oakhurst, Oakhurst

We spent $144 (after supposedly getting a group rate discount), including tax for one night and felt that it just wasn't worth it. The room was okay but I wouldn't pay more than $60 for it. The rooms all have wall mounted flat screen tvs but only basic network stations except for an endless amount of advertisements and not even the most basic cable. It seemed like a waste. Our refrigerator didn't have a freezer section. No exercise room or business center. The pool is out in the front so everyone going in and out of the lobby looks in. Our first room on the 3rd floor smelled like something had died at the entrance. After complaining to the front desk, we were offered a Glade plugin and were told we could only receive a new room if we hadn't used anything in the room. Save your money and go next door, there are several better options in Oakhurst to choose from for both ammenities and service.

Likes: Location, Great Service Staff, Easy Breakfast Dislikes: TV was blurry I really appreciated that the front desk had my credit card receipt ready, my key on the counter and were very friendly upon my arrival at 12:30 in the morning. Thanks!

Days Inn - room is decent. Nothing fancy about it. Wouldn't like to pay more than $100. Microwave and refrigerator was very nice. Free breakfast is just OK. 14 miles to Yosemite entrance - approximately 1 hour to the Yosemite Village. Good location with many restaurants and shops. Close by BBQ restaurant was just OK. There is mexican restaurant "Mexican Food" on Hwy 41, DO NOT go there. Food was Sick. I couldn't eat it at all. There is a casino about 15 minutes away from the Days Inn. They have Good buffet. Very large casino. I woudn't mind driving extra 15 minutes to Yosemite. Might stay at the casino if we return to Yosemite.

We stayed on the third floor. The second floor is the smoking section. The problem was, the ventilation system allowed that cigarette stench to come into our room. We complained, and they blew us off like we were idiots. We won't be back again.

Breakfast was a hit.. Nice selection of waffles, fruits, cereal, oj, toast, etc. Service was great from the hotel staff. The walkways were dirty around the hotel due to the weather which was acceptable. Inside the room just seemed not clean. I thought it was ok but my gf thought differently. Overall the value was acceptable but I will give the Shilo INN next door a shot next time I am there at the same price.

I don't know what the problem might have been before, but the hotel was perfectly fine. Everything was clean and roomy, and the location is great since it's a short drive from the edge of Yosemite. Plenty of stores and fast food places nearby. There's a Rite-Aid, Jamba Juice, Pizza Factory, Round Table Pizza, VONS, etc. The breakfast could've been better, but the rooms come with a microwave and fridge, and the service at the front desk was good. I'd go back.

The inn has a new owner, was clean and has large rooms with comfortable beds. There is a mini-fridge/microwave/coffeepot in every room along with iron and ironing board. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the lobby clean. The breakfast consisted of cold cereal, toast, waffles, juice, coffee, apples & oranges. Great but after four days of the same stuff it gets a little old, but it is free. The breakfast area is small, gets crowded and has two computers with internet access. The water has too much iron in it and we had to buy bottled water. Other than that we liked the place and location. We would stay here again.

The rate was $179 at the height of the summer season. Our room needed attention and had several spots on the carpet. The room had regular coffee and tea but no decaf of either. We could hear the people above us walking. No elevators and a narrow hallway to the upper floors with hard to open doors added to our discomfort. They advertised a paper, but we didn't get one On the plus side, the sheets were very soft and the breakfast with the waffle makers was good. They had no cream cheese for the bagels. In room we had a nice refrigerator.

Ants were pouring out of our air conditioner, there were dirty towels left hanging on the back of the bathroom door, you couldn't walk across the floor in your socks without them turning black, and finally, the bedding of one of the beds reeked of vomit (they sheets hadn't been changed after the previous occupants had left). The staff changed the sheets, sprayed for the ants and were going to take off $61 for that night. But after spending one night (we had reservations for Sat and Sun), we asked them to keep the $61 and let us check out a day early without being charged for the second night. They let us and we left. I'm sure the amount of traffic through that area would explain a higher than normal wear and tear but I am surprised this place hasn't been shut down. Without exaggerating, it really is a health hazard.

the hotel was bad. the room was dirty. the pool was so-so. i wouldn't stay here. the service was bad. the food was not great. either. i would stay somewhere else !
