Libertel Austerlitz Jardin Des Plantes, Paris

The hotel is on a busy street across from a large train station. Loud trains and sirens kept us awake all night. We stayed in the hotel four nights. The phones were out of order our entire stay, which meant we had to use costly cell phones to make calls instead of inexpensive calling cards. Three of the four nights the hotel ran out towels, and one day housekeeping neglected to clean our room. When we complained at the front desk, the staff just shrugged. We would not stay there again.

Great location directly across from the train/Metro station. Family area. The staff is very friendly although they speak almost no English. The room was very tiny. Just big enough for a double bed and just enough area to get around the bed. The bathroom was nice but again very tiny. The shower was so small if you weight more than 180lbs you won't be able to fit in it, and forget about bending over. You'll have to squat to wash your feet. This room was very inexpensive so if you want to stay somewhere cheap as just a place to crash at night-it's perfect.
