1st Inn Silverthorne, Silverthorne

Booked this place through the Magnuson Hotel chain/ website prior to reading the reviews (my fault, I know). However, started looking at all the reviews afterword and there was not one good one. Got a really bad feeling so I cancelled, but in the mean time our debit card info. was stolen. We live in Mo and there were charges in IL (@ a gas station) and then several in NY (@ Rite-Aid). How is this even possible without the card? BEWARE!! I have a feeling that this would have been the beginning of a long adventure. Hope this helps save someone some trouble.

do not stay here! I had to get a hotel room quick as a last resort (a prior plan fell through). After seeing what was available for under $100 per night, I booked this hotel online. I called the front desk for directions from keystone, was hung up on, my sister called, she given directions very rudely. Got into the room, bugs everywhere, only 1 lamp works in the whole room. Bathroom window has no curtain and looked directly out to a bus stop! (we hung up towells to act as a curtain). Counters dirty, floor dirty, and feels like things are biting me. I put my own sleeping bag ontop of the bed, I don't recomend sleeping I it. this was definetly a last resort hotel for me, and the only one with rooms left this late at night under $100. I would feel cleaner and safer staying in a tent in the woods.

location was good rooms scary dirty falling apart felt like you were going to fall through the floor wallpaper coming off walls tub and shower nasty dirty towels bathroom counter top falling off wall remote to tv not working no microwave in room inconveinance to go to the front desk for water or anything else not very freindly front desk people you need to lower your prices in the off season to get people to stay there or clean the place up

After requesting a key to look at a room, I [calmly] asked the desk clerk: "How often do you change the bed cloths" he briskly responded with "gimme that key" snatched the key from my friends hand, turned his back on us and left the lobby back to him private [smoke filled] quarters. I can only hope/pray that NO ONE will ever darken this guys door ever again. You will be able to identify the clerk / owner/ person by his severe need for dental attention. If you disregard this review and stay anyway......you will get what you deserve.

This place is like a bad horror movie. I felt like I was going into a bad 1970's Tarintino movie. Worst room I have ever stayed in, but I guess if you are going for super cheap, and don't mind creepiness, bad beds, and scary bathrooms (I did not even want to take a shower here) this is your place. Only reason I stayed here was because Vail Pass shut down and it was the only place with rooms. Walls are ridiculously thin, and I heard the neighbors TV the entire night.
