Sleep Inn much better!!
Comparing this motel to the Sleep Inn on the same street, this place is the pits!! The Sleep Inn is about $2 more per night and is well worth it. When we arrived, I handed over my print out internet booking confirmation. The receptionist took forever checking us in. We were told that check in was at 4pm. Not notified on the internet that it would be that late. We had arrived just after 3pm. They said that they had one clean room available with a queen bed which had a small refrigerator in it. She wanted to charge us an additional $3 because the room had the refrigerator! For some reason, after booking, even though I entered 2 people for the room, it printed out as one person. She tried to charge us another $5, trying to charge us at the regular rate and not the internet rate my boyfriend thankfully put his foot down and we ended up getting what we had ordered on line. It was a battle. Funny cause they did have a clean room, without a fridge!! We almost walked over to the other motels to book a room. Wish we had. It must have taken almost 20 mins to check us in. As soon as we opened the door to the room, there was a REALLY NASTY SMELL. It was so bad that we had to go to Walmart to buy a couple of candles and de-odorizing spray for the room. The room was smaller than the one we had at Sleep Inn, the furniture was not in such good condition. No hairdryer, safe, ironing board in the room. Just beds and a TV. Not even coffee machine or kettle to boil water in. They do not do breakfast, just coffee. The Sleep Inn has a big lobby and eating area, the Motel 6 does not and they also have a free breakfast cereals, waffles, bagels, donuts and free drinks. Visit hotelclub.com and see the price for the Sleep Inn. Taxes are only a couple of dollars too!
