Hotel staff SUPER-NICE!!!
By Sharon, 04/22/07
We were there on business, and were only scheduled for 1 night, but we liked this hotel so much, we stayed an extra night, in order to 'sight-see'. You could not have asked for a nicer staff. The room did not have a coffee-maker, but we asked for one, and the answer was, "No problem, sir" and handed us a brand-new one!!! The room had a ceiling fan! The hotel is situated in a good locality. Even tho we did not know the area, the staff was helpful, and we found everything we needed. The antique shops there were great, but I enjoyed the shops in McCaysville, Ga and Copperhill, TN even better. You can actually stand in 2 states at once in McCaysville and Copperhill.

We will never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/05
the ceilings were molded, bathroom light did not work. One of the towels was dirty and the ceiling was damaged in many places. The pillows were so bad that we tried to go buy some after being told they had no more. We went to the continental breakfast early and was told that everything was gone.

Filthy!
By Natalie, 08/14/05
This hotel is one of two chains in a small mountain town in northern Georgia. Most lodging that is available are B&Bs or cabins. We usually stay in a cabin but we were only in town one night. I am a property owner in Blue Ridge and hate to slam anything about this quaint town but this place was awful. With limited lodging choices, this place doesn't even try to accomodate guests. After we checked in for the night, we rested an hour before going to dinner. My two daughters, 5-years old and 9 months, were playing in the room. When we left to go to dinner, I noticed my 5-year-old daughter's feet were black. When I checked the baby, her hands, the tops of her feet and her legs up to her knees were also black. The carpet was filthy. When I went to toss them in the tub, I noticed black mold on the walls. It was so late and a Saturday night, we had no where else to go to for lodging. We tossed the bedspreads on the floor to wlak on for the rest of the night. In the future, I will pay the $30 extra to go to the other chain place in town or pay for a private cabin. I am not a snobby traveler. Some of the best places I have stayed in have been older, non-chain motels and B&Bs. My only criteria is cleanliness and this place lacked it.
