never stay here!
By ,
There was urine smell in the corner by the sinks. Mildew was on the toilet. The ceiling fan had a broken blade. There were wires coming out of the wall were the smoke detector was supposed to be. The corner of the mattress dipped down to the floor when I sat on it because the leg of the bedframe was broken. Our key didn't work and we had to take it back to the office. The carpet wasn't vaccumed well. To top it off it was $100 for the night. Do not ever stay here!!

Will not stay at this Days Inn again!
By ,
I didn't want to stay here after we checked in and walked into the room. The smell was overwhelming. We had driven several hours after enjoying a cruise. I felt ill because of the smell. My husband was tired and didn't want to find another place to stay. I thought of sleeping in our car but we decided to buy air freshener and sprayed the whole room thoroughly, then left to eat while it settled. The febreze helped to get rid of some of the smell. I had asked the motel clerk for some but she didn't have any. The pillows were awful and the chairs had huge stains on them. The ceiling fan would have been nice if it didn't make noise. We kept it off so we could sleep. The motel definitely needs major remodeling. Breakfast - not great at this one either, and we have stayed at other Days Inn so know what they usually offer for breakfast.

Do not stay here.
By ,
We walked into our room and it smelled like an ashtray, I checked out the bathroom and it was dirty, mold on the walls and mildew on the shower curtain. We were show 3 other rooms and they were just as bad. One bathroom had crap on the toliet and hair on the floor. It was horrible. I have never seen a Days Inn run this way. I was told that the cleaning people have been there for 5 yrs. Do not stay at this motel.

Do not stay here
By ,
I arrived here at 8:00pm to check in. I was given room 205. The first sign that I may have made a bad choice in choosing this hotel was that my door going into the room was stuck. I had to push hard to enter, The molding around the door jam was all cracked and the comforter appeared to be from the 80s, I checked out the bathroom and found cracks in the shower surround and a bug in the tub. I called the Ramada Inn and book a room there. I was given a refund and the staff understood my concern. This place is in need of some remodeling.

Great hotel, excellent service, perfect location
By ,
We weren't sure about this hotel after reading previous reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff went above and beyond in service and kindness, the hotel was exceptionally clean and well-kept. We stayed for a week, and never had a single complaint about any aspect of the hotel, or its staff. We'll be using this hotel in the future, and recommend it to family and friends who come here, too.

Hotel staff SUPER-NICE!!!
By ,
We were there on business, and were only scheduled for 1 night, but we liked this hotel so much, we stayed an extra night, in order to 'sight-see'. You could not have asked for a nicer staff. The room did not have a coffee-maker, but we asked for one, and the answer was, "No problem, sir" and handed us a brand-new one!!! The room had a ceiling fan! The hotel is situated in a good locality. Even tho we did not know the area, the staff was helpful, and we found everything we needed. The antique shops there were great, but I enjoyed the shops in McCaysville, Ga and Copperhill, TN even better. You can actually stand in 2 states at once in McCaysville and Copperhill.

We will never go back
By ,
the ceilings were molded, bathroom light did not work. One of the towels was dirty and the ceiling was damaged in many places. The pillows were so bad that we tried to go buy some after being told they had no more. We went to the continental breakfast early and was told that everything was gone.

Filthy!
By ,
This hotel is one of two chains in a small mountain town in northern Georgia. Most lodging that is available are B&Bs or cabins. We usually stay in a cabin but we were only in town one night. I am a property owner in Blue Ridge and hate to slam anything about this quaint town but this place was awful. With limited lodging choices, this place doesn't even try to accomodate guests. After we checked in for the night, we rested an hour before going to dinner. My two daughters, 5-years old and 9 months, were playing in the room. When we left to go to dinner, I noticed my 5-year-old daughter's feet were black. When I checked the baby, her hands, the tops of her feet and her legs up to her knees were also black. The carpet was filthy. When I went to toss them in the tub, I noticed black mold on the walls. It was so late and a Saturday night, we had no where else to go to for lodging. We tossed the bedspreads on the floor to wlak on for the rest of the night. In the future, I will pay the $30 extra to go to the other chain place in town or pay for a private cabin. I am not a snobby traveler. Some of the best places I have stayed in have been older, non-chain motels and B&Bs. My only criteria is cleanliness and this place lacked it.
