Awesome Weekend!
By mountaingirl, 11/07/09
My husband and I had a long weekend and decided to head to Bryce Canyon to do some hiking. We didn't want to stay at the big commercial Resort (Ruby's Inn) and we were lucky enough to get a room at the Bryce Valley Inn and it is just what we needed. After a long day of hiking, we headed back to our room and cleaned up and then wandered around the Clarke's property checking out everything there is to see. We spent almost an hour in the art gallery drooling over the incredible pieces they have for sale and then headed to the year round Christmas Shop that was just to die for it was so cute. And dinner at Clarke's Restaurant...delicious. The bread they bring you is like heaven! And our waitress was amazing as well as the Utah wine. I know, right...Utah wine? Try it!!! And the little grocery market next door had fresh doughnuts that we took back to our room for breakfast the next morning. We tried having lunch at Ruby's Inn's restaurant the next day because we wanted to hike some more before heading back to Tropic. I would not recommend eating at Ruby's Inn unless you're about to die of starvation and you can't possibly make it to Tropic. The food was cold and we only saw our waiter twice. He didn't even bring us our food! And don't drink your drink too quickly because you probably won't be lucky enough to get a refill! Clarke's and Bryce Valley Inn was definitely the best part of our trip! I cannot wait to go back!

We loved our stay at the Bryce Valley Inn! The rooms were so clean and extra comfortable. The setting is perfect in the beautiful Bryce Canyon Country. Tropic was a wonderful little town We recommend it to anyone who is in the area looking for a good time. The food at the resteraunt next door was excellant and the service was very good

Choose another hotel

Although this was a quaint, clean motel, the service was terrible. There is no one in the office from 11 pm to 7 am. While regulating the shower at 6 am, the handle pulled off and I was unable to finish showering. Since no one was in the office, and there was no manager available, we went without showering that morning. I was refunded a total of $10.00 by this company for my incovenience. I would not return to this motel and would be sceptical of Americas Best Value Inns.

Beware
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/09
We tried to check in, no one was there, the lobby was locked, no one was answering the phone. I have give midway ratings on cleanliness and value - but disregard these as we did not get to see the room- I had to complete these to do the review.

Good location, Bad all else

Service was lousy - didn't know how to do their job! Didn't take responsibility for their mistakes - such as not allowing us to book another night even though they promised we could stay...

Beautiful Backdrop!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/07
Absoloutly loved my stay at the Bryce Valley Inn! I regret that I only had two days to spend since I was there on business but I am looking forward to a more leisurely return. The room was immaculate and everything looked brand new. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I enjoyed a very relaxing night's rest due to the silence of a country night. And the most incredible part was the view of the "Sinking Ship" and the rest of Bryce Canyon.

Sorry to disagree...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/07
In one word, we found this place to be a dump! I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about when they say the views are great?? We're sitting in our room looking out at a mobile home park; official redneck territory! We had a large, rowdy group staying here the same nights as we were...drinking and hee-hawing until midnight. We called the front desk to complain, and were told they don't have "quiet hours"; no rules to enforce, so basically...do whatever the hell you like until whatever time you like. Would not stay here again. I think next time we visit Bryce, we would have to try another place, as few as they are, there must be something better than this!

If you look for trouble ...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/07
I stayed in this Motel at the beginning of June in 2006 and it turned out OK. However this year (2007) at the beginning of June I got charged again, on the same card. First I was curious and called the Motel. The Lady at the front desk couldn't help me right away but took notes to hand them to the manager that she could take care of that. I called again, this time I talked to the manager herself (Marie Jagger) after TWO similar charges of the same amount went through. She admitted getting the note from her co-worker, but now claims I made reservations. My conclusion: If you really want to stay in this Motel, better pay cash. It will save you a lot of trouble!

Rent an Exec Suite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/12/07
We found The Bryce Valley Inn to be in a great location for visiting Bryce Canyon, and driving scenic highway 12 between Bryce Canyon and Boulder, Utah. We stayed in February so the weather was cool, about 50 degrees F. Bryce Canyon was absolutely breathtaking with snow partly covering the red rock formations. Scenic highway 12 is a must do drive. There was so much to see and not enough time. We will go back and will stay at the Bryce Valley Inn. We asked to see the rooms before deciding to stay there and were amazed when we saw an Executive Suite. What a great value- the room was beautiful. The furnishings made us feel like we were staying in the best.

Loved our Room!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/07
I had such a wonderful time at the Bryce Valley Inn. The staff was absouloutly adorable and so personable. The room so clean and smelled like fresh linen. The bed was comfortable and the view was spectacular. The new owners have really done a nice job! Thanks to all those who made my stay in Tropic so pleasant.
