A decent experience.

Unfortunately there was a problem with Hot-Water in the shower, late in the afternoon. After a long day of being in the city, and checking into our room we quickly discovered there wasn’t any hot water. After bring the attention to the manager, he apologized for the inconvenience. The manager indicated the pilot had gone out and it would be at least an hour before the water heated up. He offered to allow up the use of another room for showering, which we declined. He then mentioned he would not be able to “comp” the room, or reduce the room fee, because the room had been paid by Yahoo, and it couldn’t be reduced, but a continental breakfast was provided. (I don’t believe this was a good trade-off).
 
 
 
 
 
There are beter hotels

The service is nice but a little slow. It has a pool, work out room, and a resturant how ever the food isnt very good. I kept finding lots of bugs in my room but I don't about the other rooms. The location was ok for a charelston hotel but I would have been hapier if they could explain things to do at the beach a little better. If i where you i would go to a nice, well priced hotel right on the beach that knew a little more about to city but thats just me. My stay could have been a little more enjoyable if I spent a little more time finding a better hotel.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!

I stayed at this hotel during the weekend of 8/4-8/6 and was NOT impressed. I paid almost $200 a night for a room with a king size bed - the shower had only warm water (no cold) and was a total drizzle that took half an hour just to rinse your hair; the door of the mini-fridge was off the hinges and couldn't be closed properly, and the window unit a/c sputtered all the time. What's worse is that the staff was completely unhelpful, breakfast was NOT included and the lobby, elevator and hallways had NO A/C WHATSOEVER - so it was like walking through a sauna as soon as you left your room. The ONLY redeeming quality of the whole experience was that the room was a decent size and the cleaning ladies did a fabulous job - in fact, THEY should've been running the hotel, maybe it would've been worth shelling out $200 a night!!

WE WENT TO THIS HOTEL FOR A CUB SCOUT TRIP AND HAD A BALL. THE HOTEL MANAGER JOE IS GREAT. VERY HELPFUL AND GRACIOUS. CANT WAIT TOG O BACK. THE FOOD IN THE DINING WAS O.K. SERVICE WAS SLOW, ONLY BECAUSE THEY WERE BUSY EITH THE BRIDGE OPENING. OVERALL A GREAT HOTEL...

We are going back this year

We thought the staff were very polite and eager to help. It has a workout room ,a pool, a restaurant(great food) It was our first visit to that area and we liked how we could go to charleston 1 day and then sit on the beach at the isle of palms the next day.
